Razor rsf650 streetbike

I just got the new razor rsf650 delivered today from Amazon. One of my neighbors has a mx500 that he bought for his kids. He let me ride it and I knew I had to have one. Then after searching on YouTube I came across this bike. I think it was released a couple months ago. Same electronics as the mx650. 10" cast aluminum wheels with 100/80-10 tires, Tall adjustable rear shock with a ton of travel. Batteries sit low in the frame on this model, and I like the battery/engine cover way more than the mx bikes. Neat little hidden compartment in the tank.Bummer there's no front suspension though. Going to be overvaluing this to 48v with a new controller and keyed throttle. Plus I'd like to see if I can get an mx front fork to work.

Here is a picture with the motor/battery cover removed. You can easily add another battery for a 48 volt conversion. My parts are on the way.

Re: Razor rsf650 streetbike

I got another 12v battery today along with a 48volt controller and new variable speed throttle. Looks like the extra battery will easily fit inside the frame with no major modifications. Just need to fab a new battery hold down.

Re: Razor rsf650 streetbike

Made a battery hold down for the extra battery configuration out of steel strap with some thin cork for separation and protection. Also a little mounting plate welded on for the new controller. Got everything hooked up and bench tested this afternoon. Only problem I had was the stock on/off switch didn't like the extra voltage so it died. I had to bypass it, but no matter because the throttle has a keyed switch anyway.

Rear of hold down is super close. Hope there's no issues rubbing there.

I like the throttle but not too crazy about the odd shaped grips.

Re: Razor rsf650 streetbike

I have a 120/70-10 tire coming tomorrow to replace the stock rear 100/80-10. Should add about 3/4" in width without any issues. Also ordered a universal headlight fairing to replace the tiny flat plastic shield that snaps on the forks.

Slick, doing a great job, compared to a PR200 Razor 250w, 650w on 48v is like 150% more power & torque. I sold most of the PR200 parts and kept the frame to make a chopper and put Cateye front forks and turning it to gas, still a lot of work left to do on the frame.

Re: Razor rsf650 streetbike

I just got the 48v setup running today and got 24mph over the stock 17. although I goofed and got the polarity wrong when I soldered an XLR plug on my new 48v charger and "POP!!"......smoke...... so I had to order a new one.

Luckily no. just the charger. no biggie, ordered another for $28. trying to re-configure the chain tensioner now. stock tensioner has the chain ride against 2- steel bearings. its super loud. need to find a super small plastic wheel to replace those bearings. should quiet it down quite a bit.

Re: Razor rsf650 streetbike

Today online I saw a new 1000w. Cag MT-A2 full body, for $599.99, might have been Amazon. I was searching for pocket bikes and parts.
