You need to make custom brackets then weld them on....

Re: Building my cag dragster

Sounds like a good idea. Wasn't sure if I should use bolts or Zeus fasteners.worried about cracking with all the vibration.here's a shot of my custom swingarm.

Look up 70cc methanol kart engines aswell as Comet 100cc 2 strokers.....Youll have to lengthen the wheelie bars by 4 more feet lol.....

They always say when youre unsure about 1 engine theres always 2.............LOL

Re: Building my cag dragster

Thanks EPR,I'm trying to take my time.I've been known to rush things in the past.
Nice twin engine cam2.does the twin add a lot more top speed?
Late last night I started porting the cases and cylinder.I'm gonna do the carb today. I was thinking 17mm.I was wondering instead of using the dremmel could I just get a 17mm bit and drill it out to size. Another thing I was curious about is about the cut.does it need to be tapered from the outside edge where it bolts to the engine into the carb.or is it OK for the bore to be the same all the way in.I'm gonna try to make a reed spacer also.I'll post up some pics of my cylinder and cases later to see what you guys think.

Thanks...Yes it does....instead of 43ccs of engine combined it was 86ccs.....when you can double the power you can run a ridiculous gearing to make it go higher top speeds.....naturally....

EPR bought one of the wimpy gutless 43cc power mills(lol such sarcasm) that was running besides it's identical twin on that bike...

What EPR can also tell ya as basically witness to what it would do doubled up.....

I builds for the thrills.....or...... What's the sense of doing it?

The dragbike is coming along nicely

Re: Building my cag dragster

The 43cc is perfect for the scooter, the other engine I have is the 49cc Booosted306 ported cyld., that I had on it before the 43cc, hard to tell the difference. I bought a basket case engine w/ parts. CAM2 can remember the member who took a Cag reed port FC crank and machined it small on one arm to fit the small seal on the starter/generator side. The piston port cut cyld was cut down in height some, the Cag rod is 2mm ,.080" shorter than the P/port and with the channel above the exhaust port & the 2mm less stroke make it hard to get a high compression engine. That modified alum intake above w/ boost tube I bought too, its going on a reed port. I am going to use another 43cc highly modified and ported black cyld I got from CAM2, and its polished piston and stuff cause none of the 40mm bore 43cc cyld have that channel above the exhaust port inside. Have a set of new piston port cases, bearings and seals and the 10mm FC crank machined to fit P/P cases. Going to put M6 threaded studs in the cases and slide the cyld and and modified reed port alum alloy head modified to fit on top and then nuts and washers on top like Honda and Polini.
I just finished another hp Gold head engine, when the rain stops will put it on the engine stand to test. It's for sale $250 shipped. Have a Red head hot rod engine too.

Re: Building my cag dragster

What do you guys think of those juice boxes,do they pretty much serve. The same purpose of those boost bottles.and will either work on my engine.its a reed inducted engine .I assum they just add more cc,s or do they serve another purpose?

Re: Building my cag dragster

Another thing I was wondering about.what should be done to the cases on my engine as far as porting goes.my cylinder has boost ports, they don't seem to serve much purpose if the cases aren't ported,I just don't know how to go about it.

That's where learning the art to blueprinting takes place.....

Re: Building my cag dragster

hey fellas ,haven't had a chance for any updates on the build .I'm 75 hours into my 86 hour work week.tomorrows my last day then 4 days off.
Finally be able to put in some work on the bike.planning on porting the cases some more after seeing cam2' s cag cag cag thread.then put the engine together and get it mounted up.sooo, Monday I will be able to show some more progress.in also planning on doing some more work to the frame.and mounting the new body and fairing.
I bought a dual coil plug wire also, I hope that it is worth the 39 dollars I paid for it.
Another thing . what's up with that pocketbikesunlimited web site.

You can save money on the spark wire by using one from an automobile wire set between 7.7 and 8mm.....

PBU isn't anything of its former self anymore.....Hopefully one day they'll save face and make a turnaround of all turnarounds or finally say uncle n knuckle under totally and stop disappointing the pocket bike community.....

Looks good. .35 squish send a little low. Best performance is around .5-.7mm.

Re: Building my cag dragster

Looks good. You might have gone a bit too much on the exhaust port. Not a lot of area left for the gasket. But give it a try.

IF YA AINT MIXIN GAS YA AINT HAULIN AS*
