Forged is like steel heated up red hot and pounded into to shape like a sword or horseshoe. Never heard a a forged rim. Cast is melted and poured into a mold.
not sure about pocket bike wheels but for old Porsche Fuchs wheels, forged wheels were quite important. Forging makes the wheel stronger and the original such were forged, good ''Fuch replicas'' are cast but are much thicker than the original ones, cheap replicas were also cast but at the exact shape as the original forged ones... well a number of incidents where the center would break away from the wheel barrel led to all replica Fuchs wheels being banned from many track events.
