New to the scene

Well I've always liked pocket bikes but I finally was able to get one for an amazing deal and so far I've had a blast I'm over here from California and sucks that they are illegal but I did find a nice track for mini bikes and pocket bikes in riverside for $45 a day, but anyway back to the bike well I'm having a problem with the power from my battery so the battery's completely dead and charges a little when being rode but I bought a 24v charger thinking it'd work but the charger broke haha so I bought a 12v charger and I'm gonna try it out when it comes but another method such as buying a car battery charger that's 12v and plugged it directly I heard it might work, anyway tell me your opinions!
When I first got it and after I replaced carb

Also have this not sure what to do with it
Also sure not sure what model my bike is either

Re: New to the scene

You have a cateye pocket bike. That bottle and tube is called a boost bottle. You hook it up to the manifold connecting your carburetor to the engine. It I'd suppose to store unused fuel air mix and increase power. They work well for a piston port 2 stroke engine like yours. I'm not good with electrical stuff...

Re: New to the scene

As Kray said, you do have a Cateye... Someone has taken good care of it and "dolled it up" paint/body looks really good. I'm not much good at electrics either.

Re: New to the scene

Yep, you have a cateye, its missing the body fairing. That bottle is a boost bottle, the tube goes to the top of your intake manifold and stores mixed air & fuel so when youopen the throttle it draws from the bottle. All my 2 stroke bikes & scooters have one. Here is a hand drawn wiring dia, of the Cateye. It looks confusing, so, trace one wire at a time. The engine runs on its own the starter/generator is to start and charge your battery when its running. Itmakes AC current so you need to hook the big power wire off the housing to the voltage Rectifier to make DC current to charge the battery. There is a 10 amp fuse between the output power wire and battery and lights to protect them.
I am on my pad, so I will post the wiring later today on my laptop.

The wiring diagram will help a lot I have no idea what you meant about the voltage rectifier or the power wire off the housing to the voltage to make dc current lmao

Re: New to the scene

Ok, I'm back. First that intake manifold will not fit you head intake port. It's for a reed port engine, MT-A2 Cag. like the last photo, you have a 49cc piston port engine, with a 15mm China WYK192 clone pumper carb and black plastic intake manifold. Plus the put the boost fitting on the bottom of the manifold and it should be on to, the other side. I buy an X7 alum intake manifold or a GSR40 alum billet intake and tap and put a boost fitting on top. Or you can run a Walbro WT-813 pumper carb w/ accell pump on either manifold with a few mods. We all take the stock air box cover off and get a 15mm billet alum V-stack w/ hp cone air filter paper or foam. Then there is the fatty exhaust if you can find one. See photos. The 2nd dia. the voltage rectifier is marked - box. That converts AC current to DC current, Its usually a small black finned box.

Yes, we have lights, way to go. Here is what a Fatty exhaust pipe looks like. They have one that comes out the back when the engine is turned like in your Cateye.

Re: New to the scene

You have a boost bottle for your intake manifold?? Do you need an intake manifold?? Post some photos of your engine intake port, intake manifold and carb.

Re: New to the scene

Your set cause you have an alum intake manifold. You drill a hole to tap for a 1/8" NPT, ( pipe thread ) on the top side, and put a brass barb fitting w/ 1/8" NPT male threads that fits your boost bottle tube, ( hardware store ) and put sealer or Teflon tape on the threads and put it in the alum intake, put the tube over the barbs, and keep the bottle above the intake, hose down.

Re: New to the scene

I would buy a new 15mm pumper carb, they are $9 or $10 shipped on eBay. I have a 16mm Walbro WT-813 w/ accell pump carb on a modified GSR40 billet intake manifold, and foam hp air filter.
