The 49cc piston port engine has become a favorite over the 49cc Cag reed port for me. First I believe it is a real 49cc, the stroke 34mm x 44mm is 2mm / .080" longer than the R/P. No reeds, and the cyld/head unit has a real intake port, so when you add a boost fitting and bottle it is 1/2" for the exhaust port. The reed port, the flow goes thru the carb and manifold, thru the reeds and up the ports. That's why the P/P has a great takeoff. No-one sells FC cranks for the P/P. I have a Cag 10mm FC crank modified on a lathe buy a member here to fit the small crank seal on one side. I am putting it into a new set of piston port modified cases & cyld, w/ SKF main bearings and good seals. Then I have a good used highly modified 40mm cyld I got from SmokedTirez, 2 years ago, lol?? I just ordered from China, a Gold Billet Winged Head 5 port B/B Kit, with FC Crank, $65.90 USD shipping, it left San Francisco ICS Custom on the 7th of Sept. Stealing the head for the the P/P, plus a 19mm bored GSR 40 billet intake w/ boost fitting on a 19mm Walbro HDA 223B purge carb. S/Tz has done it many times even a 2 carb/reed R/P cases with P/P chopped cyld and Cag billet head, one of my favorites, lol. Here are a few photos of HP Piston Port engines from shops like PBU and private members. The last photo of the new red head engine I just sold for, $200 shipped. The Question is, What do you have in your wallet, lol?? Or, How Crazy do you want to get?? S/Tz and his posts will show you how to make an alky powered motor, alcohol, lol.
