Re: racing in MD

From the time that i have been there.everybody was either racing the 4stroke midbikes, pocketbikes and motards.I haven't seen any of the 2 stroke mids. Was trying to convince Doug and the rest of XMR to bring out their 2 stroke mids.So maybe people with them might be interested in racing theirs also. If i was you i'd bring it down when they have an open trackday. They will let you get out on the track and do some laps with everybody.
As far as rules i'm pretty sure you will be ok.But i think you will be racing up against the the 2.5 polini's,blatas and cags.

I don't know what mods you have done to your bike.If your put in the class to run against the 4stroke midbikes.Your gonna have to ride your backside off.Even the 110cc mids are very fast and a majority of them run slicks or have aftermarket tires.
Not trying to discourage you or anything.I just want you to have atleast a good idea of what you will be facing when you go to the track.
I really think it would be cool to have people come out and race their 2stroke midbikes.Heck i'd build one to race at the tracks too.
If i find the website i will post a link. All in all i hope you get out there and get some track time in.You will enjoy it or you'll get hooked then end up getting a 4stroke midbike to race.

Yep that's what it's all about. Having fun. Just be careful once you get hooked. Then it becomes a terrible addiction. I've been an addict for many years now.LOL

Oh i know you'll need some type of safety gear. Like leather jacket or meshed, knee pads or sliders and of course a helmet and gloves.

You will enjoy yourself and thats a fact!
