Ssr razkull

Have any of you seen this bike! It's ssr's new 125cc street bike. I've read a few reviews and it gets an 8/10. 7.7hp the grom has 8.4hp. They say it is actually really well built they only thing that felt cheap was the levers. The price is $1800. In the end of the review the guy said he would buy this bike over the grom because it performs similarly, looks great, good quality (of course not as good as the grom) and way cheap. The main reasons it is so cheap is because it is carbureted instead of fuel injected, and some if the metallurgy was questionable. I think it's a great choice for the 125cc class.

Re: Ssr razkull

I dunno. If it was me I wouldn't buy a Chinese bike if I could help it. You could prob get a used grom for around that right? And if you know its been moderately maintained its a Honda so you know it will last for a long time.

Re: Ssr razkull

It's impossible to find a used grom for that much. And yes the quality of the grom is way better. I'm not a fan of ssr they make a lot of crap, but I've done a lot of reading and this bike has really impressed a lot of people simply because it wasn't crap like they were expecting. Now I wouldn't but one right away. (I already have a grom). But after one or two years I'm interested to see how they truly hold up and if it would be a good choice for a friend or someone wanting a cheap bike. I mainly just find this bike interesting.

Re: Ssr razkull

Me too. I would be very interested in a long term review. See if this actually has some quality that most Chinese made things lack.

Re: Ssr razkull

90% of the Grom is made in China with the exact same parts as the Razkull. Stock vs stock the Grom has more low end torque, better for wheelies and the SSR will outrun the Grom on the top end. Keep in mind that the SSR comes disassembled in a crate. A lot of complaints about the Razkull is poor construction, however the construction is done at your dealership so it's 100% on the assembler. You may get a high school kid who strips every bolt and you may get a very experienced bike mechanic who build it and tune it just right. The Grom has less variables but a well put together Razkull is every bit as good. If you can find a Grom with under 500 miles for $2k then I'd buy it, otherwise I'll take a brand new SSR with a 1 year warranty and the dealer relationship because they have to own the assembly of the bike, any problems with assembly is on them, any problems with the parts you can get for free within a week.
