BZM Clutch Housing to Small for 690 Cases

The 690 cases must use the newer billet alum cases. The standard Polini or BZM mount holes center to center are 74mm, my cases are 76mm, the ring OD of the housing Std. is 93mm, the 690 cases 98mm. Talking with Stoney at Mid-South where I got the cases what will fit, I think he will measure the BZM billet clutch housings to see if there bigger.
Anyone out there know anything about a bigger BZM clutch housing than the standard??

Yes, at first BZM made hp cylds, heads and clutch housing and stuff for Polini cases. Later they made there own cases and parts for only there enginest. I believe the black housing I have is the BZM Polini housing cause it fits my 4.2 Polini cases. Don't have a new BZM clutch housing to compare. Wahe neiting to see what Stoney at Mid-South comes up with. I think the new BZM billet housings will probably fit.

Re: BZM Clutch Housing to Small for 690 Cases

BZM tried too hard to capture every market and didnt bring to ligtht and perfect each design as they were developed.....

I had a BZM 28.5cc rc 2 stroker in a 1/5 scale R/C buggy and sad to say the 29cc CY engine that I modded with an ADA 31mm stroker crank ran alot better.....for some odd feason their cutting edge cylinder sealing technology works but you have to invest heavily in spare gaskets as they shrink up and fail..

Theres quite a bit of BZM stuff on ebay........I think I saw a case for $85

Re: BZM Clutch Housing to Small for 690 Cases

Tsun has new 620 cases for $235, I did a search on eBay for BZM stuff, could not find anything that I needed. Waiting on an order from Mid-South for my 4.2 A/C Polini engine for the 910 Carena, Been a week, heard nothing, emailed Stoney everyday, and no word, going to call him on the phone. Have asked him to find a housing that fits days ago, still no word. Think I need the newer BZM Ergal billet alum clutch housing, but the finned cooling bells they have are only for air cooled or water pump driven off the rear wheel pulley and I have a $100 plus BZM billet racing water pump, and need a housing & bell w/ pump pulley behind the pinion gear. Got more than $1,000 into this engine, and a new engine is $1,300. Going to return these cases to Stoney if he can't find a clutch housing that fits my cases. No one shows any measurements of the clutch housings they are selling. I am about to give up on this project.
