first sorry for posting in here but all the other rooms are closed off from posting so here i go and this is kinda a asap thing sing this project is on hold because of lack of info .....hey guys im new but only to here i no all about pocket bikes but i like the dirt bikes alot ive got the big bore engine in mine ive got it to go 70 km so far but i wanna bore the carb out i have seen a costum on done the same carb as mine but only from a pic and of course the guys thinks hes all that and kept his idea to himself and didnt share w.e else he did but what i could see is that he drilled the infeed larger if i did that to a stock carb would i get power ? or would i end up with a bad fuel mixture and lack of power because it is running rich ? i looked all over then net i cant find any costum sites or anything who got my answer thanks

Re: bore a carb ???

How about some more info like what engine 2 or 4 stroke?, what carb??

opening the inlet will just allow you to have more fuel flow, if the needle seat is sealing properly you wont have any ill effects, you wont notice any power gains either, the main noticeable effect would be if you are starving for fuel at mid and top end from a restricted fuel this might help some..

Re: bore a carb ???

yes well i seached for the how to and found some instructions on that i drilled the inlet and outlet at 9/16th from half inch and i bought the welder tip cleaner from princess auto and went up a couple sizes wich was wrong lol , but im on a learning curve so i learned a lesson i did it to much and the engine was getting to much fuel but since i didnt want to reck my other fuel jet i gloged it with some j/b weld and redid it like 2 sizes down on the tip cleaner threw it in and it screamed so i think i have successfuly boerd out my carb. For the specs u asked its a 2 stroke 47 cc block with the big bore kit on it and i have no clue the carb is stock i bought the bike realy cheap from some distributer that was going out of business im, and the bikes were from japan i had to rebuild the thing when i got it before i drove it they put it together so poorly and im not talkin loose bolts hahah i had to reweld some things for myself
