Use hightop or some sort of hiking boots that give a bit "flex" but still provide adequate ankle support. Big5 sporting goods always have hiking boots on sale for under $20.00. MX jerseys tend to work better then t-shirts but a long sleeve t-shirt should help to prevent road rash to an extent. We found that the FOX shin guards you find at your local MX shops for $10.00 work well for a few kneedragg'n sessions

Elbox pads any skate or MX elbow guards will work and a MX chest protector wouldn't hurt either

Gloves you can use some MX gloves or get some big bike shorty gloves

"Oh yeah" SOCKS wear socks nothing hurts more then rashed ankles
