I've never had that problem, so it sounds like your skins may be a bit too tight.

BTW, how tall are you, how much do you weigh, what size skins did you get and what kind of skins are they?

6'2" 225 XL - what kind, i don't know - seriously, it's not as bad as i make it out to be, they fit quite tight, but i need to break them in - anyone got any tips on how to do so?

also - how should it fit - it's a bit tough to get both arms in the suit as my shoulders are pretty wide, i don't know how it should fit!

i may have the option to send it back for a larger size it's an XL now, i may be able to get an XXL - help - anyone someone !

Honestly, I've never heard of anyone having to break-in a set of skins, but at your size, you should be wearing about a 54 or possibly a 56 (US) suit.

It regard to fit, that's a matter of personal preference, but it shouldn't be so tight that you're unable to be limber and comfortable, which sounds to be the case with you.

Sounds like you may be better off with the next larger size although I've never heard of skins coming in L, XL and XXL.

when you are in your rinding position do the cuffs on the arms and legs pull up or are they about the right length? mine were tight too and I am the same size but after a couple of days at the track they fit about perfect.

my jacket is perfect and my pants are a little short but no big deal. I went with the two piece just so I could make sure they fit individually.

i can't determine this exactly - the arm length is correct, but i cannot bend my knee (still skinned up from my crash several weeks ago) but the problem is that i do want to make sure it's the right size before i break it in.

let's not get into the price comments, but the actual suit is on ebay and it item number 2489460479

price doesnt have anything to do with the fit nor does the ebay# its up to you to decide weather its big enough or not. if you are still stif from your last dump that may be the prob, but if you think it is too tight even at your best send it back and try a bigger size. most sizes are about chest and waist not l,xl,xxl.

I tried on about ten jackets at my local dealer just to find out I was a 46. and the pants are pretty easy as long as you find the right length.

I suggest you support your local dealer were you can try on the fit and if it doesnt fit they will take it back without shipping. it may cost a LITTLE more but I have gone to mine and they give me a discount since I do so mch business there plus if you ever need anything they are always willing to help. ps... my local dealer will beat any online price I can find as long as I ask.

Here is a tip Robert gave me while speaking on the phone a day before purchasing my suit:

"For full size sportbikes you want the suit nice and tight but on Pocket bikes it should be slightly loose around the hips and thighs because of the cramped space." I took his advice and it worked out great.

actually, all leather suit have to be broken in, and i had to break mine in too, and now mine are nice and comfortable. jezzy bought a spidi suit for $1500 and it was tight on him too, it takes a while to break in.

another way i break my suits in is to use the McGuier's (sp?) leather cleaning kit, it has a gell that makes the leather softer. i se this after i clean my suits, in which they get hard again.

i'm 5"11 185lbs and wear a 44/54 perfectly. because the sport of minimoto you have to elevate your legs a bit higher in the possition you are in, you should wear one size up. since a 46/56 should be your size, then look into a 48/58....in other words a XXXL

cool thanks - i put an "ad" in the classifieds to see if i can get rid of it - if i took a good portion of the advice in this thread, i would want to KEEP this suit if i had a full size bike, as it fits in all the right places, just a bit hard to get on and off - as it's not broken in.
the size i have now is XL so i figure if i go up one more size to XXL in this particular brand, i should be OK - i am also thinking of going to a 2 piece as i can bet the top half would be way easier to put on than the top half of a one piece!
thanks all, now i just need to try and sell my current suit, as it will almost cost me the same amount to send it back and shipping for a new one!

I'm 6' 230 and had to go with a 3XL for my jacket to get a proper fit, different brands / styles all fit differently size wize. Good luck on your suit.

if anything leathers will only break in an inch or so depending on thickness of the suit. You do not want a suit that feels like it's painted. You would want some give in certain areas. A 1pc will have a different fit as opposed to a 2pc because
the cut. 1pc leathers have a race crouch cut "sorta hunched over" as a 2pc has an upright posture.
