Knee sliders or Knee pads

How many of you actually drag your knee's racing? I'm tryin to decide on getting some knee sliders or a hinged need bad with straps above and below knee (motocross type, I believe they are made by fly for $29).

The motocross type will fit on either over or under a pair of pants.

The only other knee sliders I've seen are some cheap one's that look like hockey shin guards.

Any advice?

Thanks

Zocchi slider is what most people use for pocket bike racing

http://dcminimoto.com/asliders.htm

They are about $40 a set.

Lightbulb Get the sliders!!

I began with shin knee guards from fox. Good to start but as you r skill increases and you spend more time at the track you will drag a knee thats how you go fast. Once I learned this I destroyed my fox guards in about 10 laps. Definetly worth the 40 bucks to get the zocchi sliders, also they have replaceable sliders which will save you money in the end...

definatley look into getting the Zocchi sliders. They will last longer plus you can replace the worn sliders. After 2-3 good weekends of riding the money you spent on the MX shin guards could have gone into one pair of sliders.

I don't know anyone who races and doesn't use the "third wheel" to get around those corners.

I agree, I'm using Zocchi sliders as well and love them. As mentioned, replaceable pucks make them a plus. I used to use knee pads but they quicky wear out. I paid $30 for them which was a waste to use them for riding. Plus as I started getting better, the knee pads didn't do the job anymore cause I now drag my whole shin along with my knee.

I ride a sportbike, so already got a suit with sliders. Got the Spyke Eagle 2pc. Wore out my plastic ones that comes with it so I got Titanium sparkies. Love 'em. Great for both street and pb.

You can use the Paypal link and specify your color of choice during check-out. Also, you can simply call and order / specify what you need.

Well my guess is you ordered from midsouthminimoto ... and they may have sent you the GRC sliders ... they're just as good, and they look better, but it's hard to find replacement pucks for them ...
