my $50 leathers

I was searchin craigslist and found a hot deal on a set of leathers, the zip together for the one peice race look, and will hold up in a crash.

I advise everyone who rides to wear proper safty gear at all times.

Leathers may be costly, but then again, so are broken bones, road rash, stitches, and funerals.

Your all wrong leathers wont prevent broken bones, stitches or funerals , road rash yes.
I just picked up a set of one piece leathers for my 10 yr old son for $40 on craigslist here locally

+1 on that . there are so many riders that ride without any gear at all its crazy . we ride fast and we play hard , donating skin to the asphalt is not a option

yeah, when we had the council open, i mentioned to one of the mods that we should not allow any pics/vids of riders without proper gear, or at least a helmet, and the worst part is, most people dont wear decent gear untill they crash a bike, thats how it was for me, i hit the road at 70mph (big bike, not a pocket/mid), with shorts, and a t-shirt only, afterwards, i realised i'm lucky to walk away with road rash from my wrist to my back, from my knee to my ankle. Could have been much much worse. After that, i bought me a nice full face helm, and now i got my leathers, I wear regular mechanic gloves, but i think they will suffice, i wear regular shoes, i dont have any work/motorcycle boots, but as soon as i find a used pair that will fit i'll grab em.

I still think we should take my idea into consideration, hopefully, people will realise how important safty gear is.
most users are teens/young adults, and the worst thing a doc could say is "if only he had a helmet"

I agree and disagree. I am in Illinios and you dont have to wear a helmet in Illinois just eye protection . so it s kind of hard to tell someone they have to wear a helmet when it doesnt apply tot he law . I myself rode thousands of miles without a helmet . and if I got back on a full sized bike again I wouldnt ride without one .

Re: my $50 leathers

Here is another lesson. i have posted some vidoes on here and you will notice i always have my gear. Head to toe. When i ride my big bike its the same thing full leathers, gloves, boots, back protector, chest protector, and shoei helmet. Last year i made an exemption to that rule. i just needed to go the grocery store so i poped on my full face helmet, tour master jacket which is a textile jacket, i had gloves and boots on. The only thing that i didnt have on where protective pants i just wore jeans, but this goes to show you that if you are going to ride you need to wear all of you gear head to toe. This is what happened after i low sided at just 60 mph!!!

Even with the jacket on it wasnt enough to protect my side this happened because the jacket slid up on me
