noob here, what gear?

well, the pocketbike is on the way,for right now i am broke after buying it, but in a few weeks i will be able to start buying gear. i got a little bike that prolly wont go more than 25mph, but eventually i am going to be building it up and maybe doing a custom nitrous setup, so long term i will need some better gear.

right now, i ordered a Vega *** approved full helmet. all i have at the moment is a some leatherpants and a jean jacket...i see everyone with shin gaurds and elbow pads and riding suits. the question is, what gear should i get?

im not going to race, all i have is a knock off little bike, and i will mostly be parkinglot cruising.

so, any ideas? also, im going to be relatively tight on money for a while, so, the best gear for the lowest cash would be appriciated!

thanks for your help! Spades

yea your leather and jean jacket is fine for cruising. Just fine some 10 dollar fox off road knee pads. Some good gloves. mx elbow pads. And a back protecter would be nice.

get some cheap skateboard/inline skate pads from wal mart. they usually come in a set with knee and elbow.... works great for just cruising.

Any store that carries MX gear should have them. You may want to look into textile type gear because jeans will burn through in a slide. Even textiles depending on the type of surface of the parking lot and the speed you are traveling will burn through also. Get yourself some leather gloves shorty style, textile armoured jacket and textile jeans. If you plan on dragging knees then shin guards are also recommended but get the $10.00 Fox ones like was recommended. If you plan on modding your PB then I suggest leathers because the faster you travel the harder you will fall and the longer distance you will slide trust me I know I just had a high speed low slide on my Polini and I will now be wearing leathers..
