racing gear?

what all gear do i need to race track? on the streets i wear a tank top and some shorts/nilon pants and sometimes a helmet. what all do i need to get into a track?

I wouldn't be caught dead riding any bike in a tank top and shorts anywhere.

you are very brave to ride with a tank top and even shorts..
After my highside I stick to nothing but a full race suit 1 or
2pc design. You can get away with MX gear at the least but definately wear
elbow/knee pads along with shin guards, socks, gloves, helmet, and some leather type shoes.

i wear t-shirts and jeans and i found out if i wear a sweat shirt i get hurt worse
