Suggestions for a Good Jacket and Gloves

What do you guys suggest that's decent while being reasonably priced. Thanks.

if u can get leather. I picked my leather jeacket for $90 off EBAY brnad new. Alot of people ride w/ the Joe Rocket Mesh jackets but I don't think they hold up to well over time and I still see them getting burns. Any pair of leather gloves that fit you comfy is good. I spent $40 on my Alpinstar leather gloves and they are well padded and fit really nice.

I'd agree the mesh probally wont last as long or take as many falls as leather will but for the summer months the mesh breaths much better. with the liner out of mine the wind seems to just pass through

EBay.............save on average about 65% off retail. (even stuff that's still new!)

Fieldsheer Titanium Air

http://fieldsheer.com/catalog/produc...products_id=54

I used to be the C.T.O. for Fieldsheer and can attest that this is a great jacket for what it costs. Much better armor in it than the Joe Rocket "Phoenix" jacket and it's $10 cheaper to boot.

I've fell down with mine on plenty of times and it's holding up just fine with major damage to the jacket or myself. (Other than my pride that is).

For gloves nothing beats Held gloves. Just make sure you don't buy a pair with the guanlant style wrists or your rists will be dead after a few hours of pocketbike riding because of the different position your wrist takes when riding a pocketbike.

no it's not bad at all, I rode up to bout 105* in a leather jacket w/ vents. It's only hot when ur not moving, once ur on the bike and worrying bout the bike or turn in front of u, the last thing u think about is the jacket.

well, that is why I have two joe rocket mesh jackets and a full spidi two piece leather suit. I use the joe rocket mesh in the summer and use the leathers when it gets colder

if you fall a lot then I would suggest a cheaper brand leather until you master not to fall as often. Like a used leather suit. make sure you look or ask about the leather thickness, since not all leather wear are the same. That is why I got the spidi leathers. they are one of the best and thickest in its class. Dainese is another good thick brand to go with.....that is just my 2 cents

www.helmetdepot.com has full leather for 200-300 + shipping. www.newenough.com has some good deals sometimes. My buddy just got a tecknics 1 pice from them for 300 or so. Spidi and Dainese are super racing suits but spending 1200+ on leather for sliding around at 30-40mph doesn't make too much sence. If I had a crouchrocket, I'd spend more on quailty leathers. Plus most of the guys I know that have those name brand suits are too scared to push it on their PB cuz they don't want to scratch up their bling suit

Crashing is inevitable for any rider that pushes it. It's not a matter of IF u fall, but WHEN u do and how hard.

Mesh Joe Rocket jacket. Not recommended. It will take the crash pretty good but it tends to tear the mesh with ease. I'm going to move up to a full leather suit most likely since I just upgraded to a 9.2hp or 10.2hp bike. Heh, not sure which of the two but then again, no Elite 13 rider really knows! Funny huh?

And the matching J.R. gloves too of course. Both suck. I have some nice kevlar gloves which Jsigone has seen and they are tuff ****! Made for big bikes.

My Fieldsheer Mach 3 has held up very well and it's mesh. It also has elbow/forearm/shoulder armor, and full spine protection. Not bad for $125 brand new.
