Or did you discover helmets too late?

I wear my helmet and gloves at all times now. I saw my friend crash without one and he got 6 stiches and a tore up hand. He was out of work for 3 weeks. Now he has a helmet. I have another friend that thinks I am stupid for spending so much on a helmet. He bought a skateboarding helmet for riding his bike but he won't wear it. He says he don't need one.

I don't know why some people say they do not look cool with helmets or gears.........I wear mine all around town everytime I go ride my pbs..........well, not the helemt and gloves yet but all my Spidi leather gear. I have a cool Shoei helmet which is custom designed with two big spiders on them. I always have people telling me that I have a cool helmet and wish they got one too.........or where they can get one.......I like Shoei helmets because they saved my life more that a few times on a real motorcycle and never tried anything elses.............

yeah but i cant even see to the sides when i ride w/ a helmet, if anything ill have more of a chance of falling w/ one on or hitting someone and messing up my bike.. but i get what ur saying tho

A helmet is always recommended regardless whether or not you cannot see another rider next to you that's ok as long as you can hear the other rider it's good. Most high-sides end up with the rider doing a face plant especially on PB's. On big bikes you have more of a chance to flip totally over and land on your back but since these PBs are so low to the ground it's face first with you palms next. Better safe then sorry
