Shoei RF-800 Full-Face Street Helmet in XXS (Child Size)
If your child rides with you on the street, this is the helmet you need: The Shoei RF-800, the same Shoei RF-800 sold as a high-end, maximum-safety helmet for sportbike, track use, and other high-performance applications, but sized for a child. It has all the features of the full-size RF-800 -- full-face configuration, Snell approval, quick-change flip-up faceplate, adjustable vents, and a very plush and extremely comfortable interior for a very quiet ride. Your child is the most precious thing you'll ever carry on your bike, why do it with a cheap, noisy helmet?
It has never been dropped or damaged in any way, it looks and is like new in every way (see
photos). It's a beautiful deep-lustre dark blue color with black trim and soft grey interior. The size is XXS, which is equivalent to a hat size of 6-3/8 to 6-1/2, or a head circumference (measured just above the eyebrows) of 51 - 52 centimeters (20 to 20-1/2 inches). That's a typical size for a pre-teen or small teenager. A top-quality street helmet in this size is very rare to find; few manufacturers make them and even fewer stores carry them.
Shoei specializes in high-end helmets and this was a fairly expensive helmet, but obviously you'll get a better price here. If you do ride a child with you, it would be hard to do better than this helmet, both for value and, most of all, for safety. It's worth it
