I guess it would come down to what brands you had in mind will determine how cheap it will be to your pockets. Finding a descent set of leathers for a
cheap price is not that difficult but the condition of them will be questionable.
A helmet should not be to hard to find as the market is flooded with cheap helmets that are at least *** approved but I would not recommend using it later down the line when you decide to bump up the HP. The faster you go the harder you fall so your gear will play an important role.

Aslo keep in mind if you gotta $5 dollar head get a $5 helmet. So you shouldn`t buy a extremely cheap helmet.

If you buy the previous year model helmets that are still new and unworn you could save more than half on cost. Also try to get an SNELL S2000 rated helmet(sorry Mellocag) if you can find it in your budget. I saw some decent "LOOKING" suits on ebay for under $500.00 but you can find it even cheaper if you go with a mixed textile suit(one that is not all leather).

Ebay has alot of suits for sale cheap and so far the AGV suits seem to be
the lowest in cost. When purchasing a used suit just be careful because not knowing how the person treated the suit before you got it can be somewhat of a surprise when arrives to your door

Most or all mini moto suits are mixed textile with leather for weight reasons.
You can find a full textile suit like the Joe Rocket Razor for fairely cheap on
none other then EBAY. Works pretty much the same but as speeds increase textiles will burn though so just keep that in mind but then again leather will also but the speeds will have to be pretty high. Another factor in purchasing a suit is to determine if it has been put together in layers or I should say alot of seams. If you get a suit or see a suit you like but it has alot of patterns on it make certain the patterns are over laid and stitched onto the suit itself and not seamed together because it will burst at the stitch. As you spend more $$ on a suit the stitching gets better and better with the use of race stitching with flat over lays underneath covering the stitch. This prevents the suit from bursting at the seams. Just something to think about..

Asking $99 included shipping to anywhere in 48 lower states.
Shoei RF-800 Full-Face Street Helmet in XXS (Child Size)
If your child rides with you on the street, this is the helmet you need: The Shoei RF-800, the same Shoei RF-800 sold as a high-end, maximum-safety helmet for sportbike, track use, and other high-performance applications, but sized for a child. It has all the features of the full-size RF-800 -- full-face configuration, Snell approval, quick-change flip-up faceplate, adjustable vents, and a very plush and extremely comfortable interior for a very quiet ride. Your child is the most precious thing you'll ever carry on your bike, why do it with a cheap, noisy helmet?
It has never been dropped or damaged in any way, it looks and is like new in every way (see photos). It's a beautiful deep-lustre dark blue color with black trim and soft grey interior. The size is XXS, which is equivalent to a hat size of 6-3/8 to 6-1/2, or a head circumference (measured just above the eyebrows) of 51 - 52 centimeters (20 to 20-1/2 inches). That's a typical size for a pre-teen or small teenager. A top-quality street helmet in this size is very rare to find; few manufacturers make them and even fewer stores carry them.
Shoei specializes in high-end helmets and this was a fairly expensive helmet, but obviously you'll get a better price here. If you do ride a child with you, it would be hard to do better than this helmet, both for value and, most of all, for safety. It's worth it

We at Mid-south mini moto have a very large selection to choose from. If you are looking for inexpensive gear we now carry a line called fieldsheer which is growning in popularity. In helmets i would suggest a HJC. They are fairly good quality and not to expensive of a helmet. You can check out our full line of gear at www.midsouthminimoto.com.

Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions or would like to talk more about gear selection
