well leathers are always a plus. If not buy some zocchi knee sliders and u can use them over your jeans. Get somekinda of motorcycle jacket.good gloves. ***/snell aproved helmet and your good to go.

Got to your local motorcycle dealer and buy some dirt biking knee pads like fox, shift ones, they are only around $10-12.If you cant buy a motorcycle jacket( a real kind like alpinestar, etc) just get a leather jacket with some elbow pads. For a helmet you just need a dirt bike helmet or a ***/snell approved helmet. You dont really need gloves but its more better to have some kind of gloves because if you dont you hands can get seriously messed up.

Get a HJC helmet very reasonable in price and a great helmet. I saw some nice padded bicycle gloves at Wal-Mart the other day for like $10-$12. I would recommend gloves at all times. I don't have leathers yet so I can't help you there.

gloves are very imortant!!! I took a dive this weekend and my gloves took a pretty good beating instead of my hands. If I didnt hve them on I would have been done real early in the day. that would have sucked since I already paid the $30 for the day of riding.

I say don't waste your money here and there on jackets etc. Just get a full leather suit once. They usually come with knee sliders so no need to get anything else. Sliders cost $25-$35 a pair and you won't be needing replacements for a while depending on how you ride.

Helmet and gloves too of course.

I checked them out. What do most people prefer the 1pc or 2pc? I kinda like the look of the Cyber 1 pc.

It depends. If you like walking around with your suit fully zipped up then a one piece is fine. If not, then get a two piece. I like both but in certain circumstances I prefer the 2 piece. You get to walk around with out the extra weight.

Not to mention my suit is slightly big on me so it comes off slowly if I unzip it.

I wear in practice what I wear for racing....everything. If you don't wear full gear, you don't push your bike to the max. At least I don't anyway. But then i'm an old fart and I break easy without full gear, heh.

When you get used to wearing gear you cannot ride the same without it. I would suggest a 2pc. suit just because if its hot you can take the jacket off and still be comfortable. I love my 2pc. and would never replace it.
