17" metrakit rims/wheels

does anyone here own a 17" metrakit? i'm interested in information about these rims/wheels, but metrakit themselves as well as their importers seem to not want to sell anything.

first and foremost: price.

then:
- weight
- distance of chain sprocket from center
- hub width

Re: 17" metrakit rims/wheels

I can't quote 100% accurate prices for Metrakit vendors, but the last time I checked, the XL 50 was $4,500 and the XL 80 was $5,500. Based on exchange rates, it could be more or less right now.

If I'm not mistaken, dry-weight on both is roughly 135 pounds, which is really light for a 17' wheel'd GP motorcycle and still 25 pounds less than a 7HP Honda NSR50.

Not sure who you've sent inquiries to, but for future reference, Dan Pierce is a great guy to deal with. Square deals and excellent service regarding anything related to Metrakit.

ups, sorry, misunderstanding. i was thinking about rims/wheels weight and prices, not the complete bike.

as i'm situated in germany, inquiries were sent to metrakit directly, and to the german distributor.

Re: 17" metrakit rims/wheels

nobody got any useful info? anyway, i decided to use marchesini gp rims (even cheaper than aprilia rims) instead of the metrakit ones (which seem to be rieju rims, bytheway).

another question: does anybody have info about the rear shock and the paioli fork that metrakit use in their pre-gp racer? i mean damping and force diagrams...
