Looking for 12" wheels like on Metrakit MiniGp model?
Does anyone know where I can get some 12" wheels/rims like the ones that come on the Metrakit model MiniGP. I am working on a new project and these would work perfect. I am looking for used or new. Thanks
Re: Looking for 12" wheels like on Metrakit MiniGp model?
I have started with an x18 frame but I am going from the stock 10 inch rims to 12 inch so I can have more tire options available. I am also changing the triple clamp, front forks and rear suspension to make adjustment for the new wheel diameter.

Yamaha, Honda and Metrakit are the manufacturers that I know of, but if you're specifically looking for the 5-spoke design, you're looking at Metrakit and the new wheels featured on the NSF100's, both of which are expensive.

hhmmmmm i know two places to get those rims. Both are expensive. One place ( cycleimports.com )want about 700 for the pair. The other ( hondaminitrail.com) wants aroud 900 for both rims. U might have better luck trying to find them used, but they are hard to find.

Hey Pierce there are quite a few guys in the 4Stroke page looking for 12" rims. That's the kick in the butt with the chinese Mid's. 10" leaves very little in the way of performance tire selection. There has to be a decent 12" set out there that won't break your back? I found some but the manufacturer wants large scale dealers, which we ain't. Point me in the right direction and I find something. I tried Calamari, MotoLiberty and a few other's and they are out of the price range.

I am almost thinking scooter rims could be a cost effective alternative, as long as the rear was not set up for a drum brake.
