NSR50 Questions

Pocketbike racing went sour in my area, my GEM may be for sale. So im looking for a NSR50, but first i have questions to ask about the bikes. Are there ready available head kits and other parts for the bike? How much would a good condition '04 go for ($1800?)? The YSR/NSR racing is still very strong in central ohio, so i might go this route instead. Also if anyone is interested in a 50cc Testa Rossa GEM with 19r PHBG Carb, be sure to PM me.

Re: NSR50 Questions

What do you want to do to the NSR? I ran my 04 NSR50 in the stock class last season and was hanging with the mini motards and Metrakits! Yes, there are kits available to bore out the cylinder. I just got done installing two of them. I did my bike and my friends NSR. We went to a Kitaco 63cc big bore kit, running a 24mm carb and it is the cats meow! If you plan on getting that NSR for $1800 (and YES it is VERY much worth it, I'm not saying that because I know the guy, but because I almost gave him $2k for it. It is brand new and only raced it 3 rounds with the OYL last season and this guy babys it on the track) It looks just like the rest of our team bikes, new red/black paint job and a few other goodies on it!

The NSR racing is very strong here, lots of people to dice with and there are a few more NSR guys coming back next season (in school down in Fl now, but will be back next season).

Hit me up if you end up getting it! May 5th is our next round at BeaveRun, PA... the bike is already race ready just add gas and race with us!
