Yeah he's my baby boy, he's five years old. He wants we (big brother and I) have so Dad can't refuse.
There'll be plenty of NSR's turning up shortly, as mini racing is fading in Okinawa. There's a handful of us trying to keep it moving though. On mainland though, it's like motogp. They have full paddocks set-up and everything. The serious racers have tire warmers and the like, it's awesome!!!
Shoot me an e-mail and let me know if you're interseted.
Here's myTZM/YZ85 ! It's taken nearly two years to get to this point, it'll be complete (fairings attached) by Friday. Ready to be broken in and ridden hard on Saturday, Mychron Timer installed by race day (27 March). Sorry about the finger prints, I have to do some touch up painting as well.
List of goodies:
2004 YZ85 (fresh out of the crate)
Aftermarket Clip-ons
Goodridge Steel Braided Line
YEC Shock (fully adjustable to include ride height)
YEC Fork springs
Arrow Exhaust (new but frankenwelded)
Harris grips
Aftermarket Anodized Levers (one finger brake and two finger clutch)
CF Posh Preload Adjusters
CF Posh Anodized Rear set lifts
Dunlop TT91's
MyChron 3+ Gold (awaiting arrival, snail mail sucks)
Miya Upper/Lower and Screen
Minimotomadness GSXR seat
The only problems left to work out is the way the pipe is seated, I may have to buy a YZ85 pipe, and the change in sprocket size (428's aren't made for TZM's). Once these are fully sorted it will be an all out assault the rest of the season.
Once the bodywork is mounted and all of the prints cleaned up, I'll take a pic of my squad of mini's . I'm thinking of adding the 2005 XR100 motard to the line up before I leave. What can I say, I've contracted a sickness.
Wheww.........at least it's good to know that I'm not the only one on here that has the same illnesses...............the dread "stabilitis"............
good luck sir. and hey, i'm in the market for another mini myself. if you know of anyone that is sellling an NSR used for around $1200 let me know.

Dam, that's one nice machine, can't wait to see it all done up with complete fairings
Barry, those are 2 of the cleanest YSR's I've ever seen. Is the blue and white one going to get the JDM rear turn signals as well? Good luck with finding an NSR, are you looking for it to be street legal?

I concur Shady.
Sweet bike CLane.
And Rob, Don't chop up those YSRs. Should be worth more stock condition. Get some beater bikes to play on the track!
thanks for the comment on the clean YSR's.
the white with red is mine. it came from Kentucky and I think it started out somewhere in Canada but who knows. I've not only got my local DMV title for the it but I also acquired the MCO (Manufacturers Certificate of Origin) for it as well directly sent to me from Yamaha Corps. microfish department.
I searched long and hard for this bike and have been enjoying it every single time I take her out.
it's got a whole bunch of goodies too. Most of the TCR stuff you can bolt on I've put into this bike.
the blue/white one is my friends (who lives 5 blocks from me). It was his first time on a motorcycle and I convinced him to start off with a YSR. I told him that the looks he would get on a YSR would out way the "going fast on the turnpike" effect.
Here in Miami Florida, the majority of the motorcycle riders believe that if you own anything less than 1000cc bike, your a girlie-man..........so........man that must make me what? since I have a 50cc bike? Here in Miami everyone thinks it's cool to go on the Florida Turnpike doing 160mph at @WOT for 360 miles.....STuuuuuuuuUPID!!!!...........that's how riders here get their kicks in Florida............just plain stupid is all.
I had an 2002 F4i........and it was fun when I was living in San Diego.......but once I moved to the flat lands.........there were no more twisties to use my F4i on..........so I started researching the YSR and it's been all history since then. I fell in love with the idea of what can be done with a piston that is the size of a restaurant salt shaker............amazing these little strokers.......absolutely amazing.............
Again Shady, thanks for the comments. much appreciated. Sorry I bored you with the long gripe session........just sometimes these numb-nutz here are so blind by their own stupidity that well...........ahhh.......nough said........thanks.

Thanks guys, I've got another dilemma to deal with. I just came across a sweet 96 NSR250 with PGM4 ignition card. It's cream, dry clutch and all!!!! I'm not sure whether to buy it out right, sell my VFR400, or just leave it alone. The plan is to pick up another bike when i get back to he states, but this one is sick. I'll have to take some pics.

What do you think?
You can't go wrong with a 96' NSR250... Which of your bikes do you plan on bringing back with you?

WOW an NSR250SP. Buy the NSR, keep the 400 and bring both back. Hey vfrman on the 400 forum is also in the military and moving back to the states. He is getting grief that he is not allowed to bring back his NC since it was never offically imported to the US. You better check out what you can and cannot bring back before you keep buying toys.
Eddie:The difference between VFR man and I (I know quite a bit about his bike, i was looking into buying it and de-registering my black one. It's pretty much the same outside of the shock and forks), is that I've done a great deal of research on how to get bikes back to the states (plus i'm in the transportation career field, that's a huge help). He lives right down the road from me, and weirdly enough we've never spoken. We know a few of the same people though, two guys he works with are on my race team.
The bike is an SE model, single side swinger as well.
Also, I'm looking into renting a container and shipping all of my bikes together, i think it will be easier all the way around.
Shady: Haven't heard from you in awhile, what's been going on?

Same old... Work, chillin', playing FFXI... My TZR50 is finally in Cali just have to wait for it to get shipped to NY, the importer should be sending me some pics of it so I'll post them up... Yeah renting a container will be your best bet, that's what took my bike so long to get State side, the importer wanted to fill up his container before he shipped... If you bring your bikes back to the states you'll be the envy of your neighborhood
sweet bike........what is that? cc wise. when do you get it?
Thanks! It's an early 90's (don't remember the yr) Yamaha TZR 50(cc). I'm trying to work out the shipping details with JTrading, but hopefully soon, it does have to come across the country from Cali to NY.

that bike is very nice. where do you guys find out about these bikes? i mean is there a auction site or web site over seas i don't know about... was the TZR50 ever sold here? a month ago i was just happy to purchase my first bike. i thought i would be happy with it the way it was..."what ever to that last comment" the bug bit me hard.
these things are like "crack" you can't stay off them! i find myself consumed buy this. on Monday i get my first shipment of performance parts from TCR. i know my (smaller scale) project didn't start out like everyone else in here but i'm hooked notheless. it only fuels the fire when i see what clane531 has and what shady is getting, i can't help but get envious of what they have. when is enough...enough.
