Testing waters- YSR 200cc blaster conversion possibly FS ?

Hi Guys!

I've been thinking of selling my YSR 200 bike..
I thought I'd post on here and see what the response is.

I'm asking $3500. Virtually every single prt on this bike is an upgrade, and there is zero mickey mousing.

The bike is STREET LEGAL, and has current reg,. in CA.

All electrical works- and it does charge the battery when you ride.

Well, check the website for the full build. This one is one of a kind, and done right.

Top speed now is around 75mph due to gearing. You could re-gear for 100+mph, but you would have to lower the rear end to allow a smaller sprocket with no chain drag. It's easy to do on the shock, though with the rear high, steering response is better for canyon carving and racing.

Here's the build website for those interested:

I'm in Los Angeles- I'd prefer not to ship, though if shipment was necessary, the buyer would have to arrange it.

Wow, Dave!

I can't believe that you're selling that jewel

Are you bored of it? Or looking to start a new project?

Anycase, I'll help spread the word

Btw, not sure if you have an active account on barf, but I suggest to post it there too. Otherwise, let me know, and I'll post it up for you.

Hey YSRCali!!

I like the bike, I just need to make room for my next project, which might be a VW buggy or an old Mini Cooper, not too sure yet
My real joy is in the build- my YSR is pretty much the ultimate bike- every part has been modded, though I wanted the bike to still look like a plain YSR, that was my mod catch!

I'm selling my DR650 too, for $2795 obo:

I don't have a BARF account- if you could post up there for m, I'd appreciate it

Thanks!

-Dave

PS- if the car projects don't work out, my backup plan is to buy my bike of pure lust- an old Ducati 996 or 998. I absolutely love that shape- I could stare at it forever.

Re: Testing waters- YSR 200cc blaster conversion possibly FS ?

UPDATE:

I've started to more aggressively market the bike- reduced price now too, and more details: $2995

http://home.earthlink.net/~gti302/yysr1.jpg

Here's a partial list of mods:
Modded blasterized frame, powdercoated silver
YFS200 engine, modded quick turn throttle
Carbon reeds, trenga carb inlet
Crawford hydroformed pipe
Mild port work on head
30mm Trenga carb, angled filter
TCR fork brace, clamp, head bearings
FOX shock
Braided front brake line
Galfer pads
CWR blasterized braced swingarm
Fully functional street lighting system and battery
Aluminum wheels with IRC tires
CWR rear brake brace
Yamaha R6 linkage shifter, pedals relocated
gold chain, Sprocket specialists sprocket
And more...

Current title and reg, motor and frame were regged and titled together, and it has a custom YSR plate

No expense has been spared, and no corners have been cut. The only thing I wanted to do was keep it looking like a YSR, so the body work and style reflects that.
It runs great, and is geared on the low side for city cruising, but you can change that yourself later if you wish (15/38 now, I think). It's a stoplight terror as it stands.

I'm asking $2999. The bike will also come with a blaster engine manual, and any and all YSR spares I have accumulated.
I'm located in Los Angeles. No free rides, unless you buy it!
It would easily fit in even a compact truck bed.
