What is your intent, street or track?

'04 NSR's are "race only" bikes. There are titled NSR's, but very rare to find. Cost can range from 2K on up.

There is also the NSF100. It is a 4-stroke version of the NSR. It has a XR100 motor. Price tag is approx 5K.

YSR's? The condition, amount of mods (motor and or suspension upgrades) will determine their price. Anywhere from 1K and up. A very clean "titled" YSR starting price is usually 2K and up.

Derbi has two street legal bikes; The GPR is a sport bike and is equiv size of a BIG bike. Starting price for a used is around 2K. The motors will vary, either a 50cc or 75cc.

The Senda or SM (Super Motard) Derbi. It is a dual sport bike. Comes with a 50cc motor. Price range can vary from $1200 on up.

However, there is more potential for the 50cc motor, w/ upgrade kits; a 72cc "SP" (street) big bore kit or a 50cc and 72cc PRO "race" kits.

Metrakit is a "race only" bike (12" wheel and Big Wheel) and uses a modified Derbi motor. Typical used price starts around 3K for the 12" wheel version. However, I've recently seen one for a very rare sale price, 2k.

The Big Wheel version is comparable to the GPR Derbi in size. I am not sure what a used price is for this bike.

Also, you have a choice between motor set-ups. For more info about Metrakits, go to cycleimports *** com.

Then there is also the Aprilla RS50. It is comparable to a GPR Derbi in size. However, parts are hard to come by.

Hope this info is useful.

My friend is letting his 04 NSR50 go... Only raced it 3 times, doesn't have the time to race small and big bikes. PM me for more info if you want it. I think he wants 2K for it with new paint job (looks just like mine), and a few extra's.

does the rs50 have the same motor as the derbi's. i ask because i always see
the aprilia name included in the 72 cc kits that are sold for the derbi motor. also cali you said parts are hard to come by, can you explain which parts, (bike or drive train). i will buy one of these before the year is up and would like a heads up on replace parts issues.

The Aprilia and Derbi's have different motors. Parts can be hard to get for both bikes as neither are really imported into the country. One good thing about the derbi motor is that Metrakit has lots of parts for it and they are still coming into the country. Actual bike parts are a little tougher.
