Hello everyone, After parting with my x15 from the "My $100 x15" build, i'm going to start on my new project. And hopefully This build will come close to the 12,000+ views of my x15 build.
1987 Yamaha YSR 50
The bike is going to be a TexasMiniGP F7 class (limited to 110cc 4-stroke, 60cc air cooled 2-stroke) And this build will be much slower than my 15 build mainly due to cost, and little time between work and school. But the results will be worth it.
As of now, the bike was cleaned up, and some rusty parts (tree's and rear-sets) were sanded down, cleaned up and painted black to prevent any further rust. Right now, i'm getting ready to fully teardown the bike, and begin cleaning the bike up.
Final Goal for this build: Get it on to a track, enter and finish an F7 race.
Minor Goals. (in no particular order)
- Performance Exhaust pipe
- New tires
- Rear Shock
- Bodywork and re-paint
- New Chain
- Redo the 20 year old wireing
- Fix, repair, replace all nessesary items
- New gasket set for the motor
- Run on a track
Goals that probably wont happen.
- Honda xr100 or similar motor swap
- Get a title for the bike
- Rear shock
