I know you and Vivian used to race the YSR Class Moto's. Did you guys ever get a chance to take a shot at the Metra Kit?
Freddie
no they were to expensive we raced 50 stock and would watch the metrakits in the modified class and the 80cc metrakit in the 80ccGP those bikes fly
CMRRA has a stock watercooled class now that race the new NSR and Metrakit 50s but CMRRA needs riders, they might not be around next year because the rider count is low
You have the try a Metrakit, it is clearly my favorite. I am somewhat biased as I am the Canadian distributor, but the bikes are a blast and speak for themselves. In the last three months I put over 50 riders on our bikes and people love them. Our bikes earned a first and second at the Canadian Nationals this year in Quesnel, BC.
If you reside in Canada, I have no issue throwing anyone on one of my bikes.
As far as top speed, with a 230 lbs rider it hit over 130 km/h at Stratotech Park.
I like all of Japanese 50/80cc bikes (i haven't rode or raced against a euro bike yet), especially he NS1. Since I'm stationed in Okinawa, I own almost all of them except the NS1. I did get the chance to ride one after the races, and it really pulls hard (it was modded to the max).
My new favorite is going to be a TZM50 with a YZ85 motor, even though I'm not sure of which plastics to run. I'm also putting RC211V fairings on one my NSR's, they're pretty trick. The aftermarket here is crazy, anything you want, USD's dry clutches, fairings, and too many engine upgrades to mention.
One last note, they hate YSR's here and won't touch them if you gave them one.
I hope, as more Americans get into pocket bikes and Midbikes.
in the future all these riders will want to step up to some killer shifter 50cc's
then maybe the cost for them will come down and there will more to choose from.
Woof: I like the Metrakit as well, but I'll have to wait intil I return to the states to pick one up. I'm waiting on my RC211V upper and lower to come in, then I'm sure I'll be loving the NSR
joelanza: It's amazing, bikes here are really a way of life. The bikes that never reach reach US soil would really sell well. Europe gets almost all of the Japanese bikes because they sell.
By the way the green Bike is a KSR110 4-stroke (2004-up). They can also be purchased with 80 and 110cc two strokes (-2004), these things are monsters.
...The bikes that never reach reach US soil would really sell well....
Yup, that's why JDM 50-250cc bikes that are imported to the US and are about a decade old sell for about as much as a 600cc thats a few yrs old or brand new 500cc bike, but hey I guess everyone's got to make their money

This my new favorite . It's a motogp replica, can anyone guess what bike it is?
Looks like the Kawi 4-stroke 50, right?
If so, they make a fun toy, but not for race. I've ridden one and it takes forever to get to top speed.......4 speed. My YSR would run circles around this thing. I give the Kawi 4-strokes cool points only.
Actually it's a 110cc 4-stroke Kawi. I have ridden the 110cc and 80cc 2-stroke versions and they'll destroy a YSR. I know, I have a YSR 80 modded to the max and got punished. That's when I broke out the big stick, NSR w/CR80 motor.
Over here novice class is 50cc to 110cc, everything is modded out. The next class is expert and that's 50cc bikes only (factory set-up). The final class that runs is the open class, 50cc to 110cc soon to be 125cc.
