Summer Rules and Class structure!

MPBClub Rules and Classes

A Summer Championship Points Series is in the Making. We will be running some out door events as well as K2K. Updates will be made! We will need help from the racers to flag for a safe and happy summer!
No added power enhancers (nitrous, blower ect…) allowed in any class!
Bike classes:
If there are near 20 riders they will be broken down into 2 heats with the top five from each heat racing in a main event. The points are all the same after 10th so that is what the main will sort out. (The top ten points finishes.)

Cag/Daytona Stock class: This means no internal modifications are allowed.
These tunning changes are allowed for riders under 200lbs:
sprockets/chains
oem clutches/spring upgrades(no after market clutches, example: Bi Zeta, Polini ect…)
Silencer fixing (they always fall off)
Carb tunning: jets, needles, filter/stack, ect……….

If over 200lbs then you can also run:
a pipe/silencer
a stock big bore 49cc(not ported)

Cag/Daytona Modified class: Anything goes as long as it is based on the original Chinese pocket bikes with air cooled engines. Blata 4.2 stock will be allowed in this class! There will be a 200+ class if enough riders are present!

Beginner: All BEGINNERS will run in this class with completely stock bikes. If there are enough riders this will be split up into ex. Beg. Cag and Beg. Mid-Bike! Thre must be atleast 2 riders for a class to be split up.

Junior Open Class: those 14 and under on any China based air cooled Cag or Mid Bike bike will run in this class!
Junior Motard Class: We may have this class if there are enough riders!

Mid-bike Classes (x1,Cateye,R1,380x ect.): All Mid-Bikes limited to 10" rims!Any midsize “pocket rocket” as they are commonly referred to.
2 stroke Stock: Any Box Stock Mid-Bike will run in this class! Air filter and tunning are the only things allowed.

2 stroke Open:Any modifications to the original China 49cc engine. Limited to 49cc! No added power enhancers(nitrous, blower ect…). Any bikes with motor swaps will be run in this heat. They will be scored in their own class!

4 stroke Mid-bike Classes:
Any Mid-Bike with a XR50 based engine will be run in this class.
Automatic Stock: Engine limted to 50cc. Nothing but gear changes and carb tunning/filter allowed!
Automatic Open: Engine limited to 110cc! All mods allowed! No Nitrous.......!
Gearbox Stock:Engine limted to 50cc. Nothing but gear changes and carb
tunning/filter allowed!
Gearbox Open:Engine limited to 110cc! All mods allowed! No Nitrous.......!

Mini-Motard/Gearbox Class:
This is primarily a XR50 based class.
Stock 50: Box Stock XR 50 or equivelant bike! No mods allowed, NONE!
Open 50cc: Any modifications as long as engine is not over 50cc!
Motard Open: The 4 stroke engine size is limited to 110cc. Any 2 stroke Motard bikes limited to 50cc! Manual or automatic clutch allowed.
Some of the Motard bikes already have 12" front rims on them and to tell them no more would be rude and unprofessional. With that in mine I have allowed bikes to run a 12" front rim.

ALL heats are combined for an Overall finish!
The lowest accumulated heat points(finishing spot) wins the overall. A main will be ran for any class near 20 riders! This will decide the Overall win in that class.

The Overall points system will be as follows:
POSITION POINTS

1st - 5 points--------- 6th -6 points
2nd -20 points-------- 7th -5 points
3rd -15 points --------8th -4 points
4th -11 points --------9th -3 points
5th -8 points --------10th -2 points

Each position after 10th will be awarded 1 point. You must start the race to earn any points. DNFs will be awarded 1 point for starting the race!

Awards will be given in each class for the top three Overall finishers. In the case of two or more racers scoring the same amount of points for the overall finish, the win will go the lower placed rider of the last race we ran.

A champion will be crowned in each class at the end of the season. The overall points will be added up and the racer with the most points will be the champion. If somehow there is a tie the racer with the most combined (heat/overall) wins will will place higher!

All racers must wear protective clothing.
The required Safety equipment is:
DOT approved helmet
Eye Protection- shield or glasses/goggles
Long jacket
Long pants
Leather boots or shoes covering the ankle!
gloves
ALL Classes that reach 35+mph will be required to wear a Motorcycle Jacket and Pants or at least Knee pads! Full Racing suits are Highly Recomended!
Recomended for all classes:
knee /elbow pads
Full racing suit!
Leather suits are required in classes reaching speeds(40+mph) similiar to the Italian Production bikes!

All bikes must pass a safety inspection before entering the track!
1: Functional front and rear brakes
2: Ignition kill switch must work.
3: Bikes MUST not leak any fluids!
4: No anti-freeze allowed on the track! Bikes must run water and only water!

If any bikes are leaking any fluids you will be black flagged immediately. You must get off of the track and go directly outside if is Gasoline. If you don't have a Liquid Cooled bike it is likely gasoline leaking.Or Hydraulic brake fluid. If any bike is leaking Gasoline it MUST BE REMOVED from the building. Repairs must be made before it is allowed back into the building or on the track.Any questions or comments please PM me.

Thanks, Troy

Troy,

The open 50cc class is a great idea as it will allow the other brand 50s to race against the piped XRs.

Rules look great.

Could someone race their open 50 in the open 110 class?

just edit stock class to allow street tires...cuz technically a motard is a dirt bike with street tires for the most part isn't it?

Yup Yup...

I would propose roughly the same structure that we had in place for MMMRL for the Euro bikes...production/super production, and open...we most likely will only have enough for one class for this though, just super proddy...Frank has his DM, Mike K his GRC, and for now, my GRC...most of the other riders that may come out for a few will have a bike that will fit in that class as well, and when some of the China bike riders are ready to step up to a Euro bike, production is usually the most logical class to go to, due to avalibility...

Refugees need to come out and race, what is the point when only Frank and sometimes you Mike show up, Frank runs his 4.2 in the mod Cag and then he ran one of his other bikes with the motards although he was not scored as such. If a couple of Euro bikes were to show up Troy would certainly have a heat for them and race his GRC against you but if it is going to be like 3 guys then they can just practice or race with other classes that will fit. You guys had a hard time showing up for MMMRL events as there were a few that I attended were only 5 guys came out so why make provisions if you guys don't show anyway but in the case that you were to show there certainly would be something done to make it possible. Really if there are like 3 guys who consistently want to show you can run with another class but be scored on your own, like Lemans racing where there are different classes on the track at the same time, with all the new bikes to classify this will probably happen in most of the heats anyway where there will be different classes.

I only missed one MMMRL event and made 3 National events.

I am mainly talking about the summer series, i need to be focused on school right now, and its over a 2 hour drive for me to come to K2K. so once i can put my full attention on racing i will be there consistantly, if it is worth it and safe. i jsut want to make sure i fall with in the rules, so that if i dont i can make changes before its game time.

we ran production/superproduction together, cag, and the open class. 3 heats each. the final race was a few laps more but all the points were the same for all the races.

Troy,

In the stock 50 class, are you going to allow aftermarket handlebars?
