Question Electric PB Classes

What class electric PB's fall into has been discussed a few times, but mostly when competing against dino-fueled PB's. My question is, if all electrics were to be in thier own group, how would you recommend categorizing the electrics within the group?

Should we classify them on motor wattage rating? Do we take into account the bike size, PB or Mid? Do we solely use voltage, like NEDRA does? Do we use a combination of wattage and bike size? Do we factor in age of the rider?

I have soem thoughts, but would like to hear from other folks on what they see as a good way to classify an electric PB.

See ya,

Hi SEVO,

I think that classes based on motor wattage and pack voltage would be a good place to start, then seperating classes into weight sub-categories.

It would be so cool to see some all electric motor class racing, huh? -S

Hey Chris! Good to see that AMMRA still has a place in its heart for electrics, I have always enjoyed racing with you guys. I am wondering, do you think that there are enough people with the auto parts store variety electric pocketbikes to justify running them either with the electric scooters, or in their own stock EPB class?
I am looking to bring my X6 Eracer down to Rialto on June 5th. See you soon! -S

I would really like to see its own class someday. I don't think we are there yet but at any event, if a bunch were to show, I would be very happy to give them thewir own class. That is what is needed.
