Re: Which is faster?

show him what they can do and see if it is still a waist of money to him...if so, wait a couple years and get a job and buy the parts and make it your self and then show him and then ask again if it is a wait of cash........

true parents should let ther kids work on what they want to work on....or does he want to send you through 4year of tech scooling for what you can learn for your self by your self in less then a month making a project and completing it and then competing it!

LoL glad my dad pushed me down my own path in life instead of roping me down to his own ideas... Words from a wize man said "live your own life because it is all that is your own"
Now with just a highschool ed and nothing more, I am opening up shop soon($55,000 woth of building in the middle of my town) and since my bikes are made by me, I have little to no overhead...My dad is happy for what he did with me.....I child is like a clay pot on a potting wheel, if you use too much presure the pot will just break apart and or be too weak after it is fired, understand....if your 17yo your at that time in your life when you are your own persion, dont listen to your dad, hear him and judge his words for your self....from what you just said, you need to talk to him!

Re: Which is faster?

The reason for the rejection is that I just ride on "private property" for fun, and I do not race. He wont even let me go around the block!

And I am going to be an underwater welder/inspector when I grow up. I will be attending National Polytechnic.

If you can find a track near Costa Mesa, CA, I will give it a try.

Re: Which is faster?

I only race go-karts at the OC Speedway. They are electric karts that go ~50 mph for me on an indoor track. So I would not know of any gas tracks.
