honda Mini moto 18 volt speed control bypass

How do you bypass the speed control on the minimoto.
to get the full 18 volts that the batterys offer.
I read that only 12 volts go to the engine and that 6 volts go to the speed control. Or some version of all of that???
Any way want a little more speed if at all possible.
Airing up the back tire took an act of congress!
Any additional general info on this little bike
would be appreciated also. Mods Redo owners manual fixes etc.
THanks

here is what you do... swap out the 18volt controller and put in this one... buy a 6v/7amp hour battery( is that 18volt block 7amp hour or 12amp hour), anyway then just wire them up the motor on that bike will handle the extra 6 volts with not problem... and it will be like a whole new bike for the kids..... should be about 40-50buck total..... i recommend that controller so this way if you decide to upgrade the motor you can still use the controller for up to a 500watt motor...

p.s. here is the site for your manual

Did you connect the batteries in series to make 36V? and is the 36V going through the 24V controller???

cruh

How did you swap the original belt dive system (motor and sprocket) for a chain drive? I have an 18V Minimoto I am working on right now and am looking for some help/advice.
