I'm happy to answer all your questions. I've just been getting so many pm's about the XP700 that I think everyone could benefit from the questions being asked.

Re: Keep all your questions about the XP700 here.

The most common questions I'm being asked are:

Is the XP700 faster then a Razor200PB: "Yes the XP700 is faster then the Razor200PB. It has more torque and slightly more top end"

What is the Stock Setup in a XP700: "It comes stock with a 700watt motor, A 40peak amp controller and 11/65 #25 pitch gearing. 12" dia tires and the bike weights 55lbs"

What is the top speed: "20mph - I'm 190lb and I got it up to 18mph stock"

How torguey is the bike compared to a razor200PB: "I don't know how else to answer this then to say when i was stock I was dead even with an 80lb kid and i weight 190lbs. So if I were to race a person the same size as myself. It would have been a slaughtering. lol"

How is the build quality: "The Frame iand fairings are great very very strong"

How long does it take to charge: I find normally mine is around 3-5 hours.

I found through the stores on ebay and its located in my city but I asked them a question and they haven't replied so I wonder how good their customer service is.

Re: Keep all your questions about the XP700 here.

honestly I don't even remember where I got it. lol it was like 2 or 3 years a go. Basically it doesn't really matter anyway. All the sellers just have the bike drop shipped. This means that they don't carry them in stock. They collect your money and then call warehouse where the distributer keeps them all and they ship it directly to you. Warrenty on these bikes is also very good. No problems at all.

Re: Keep all your questions about the XP700 here.

Great timing! Just received mine yesterday from alphaproductsintl.com (x-treme scooter). Shipped very quickly (got in about a week).

So far only problem is some broken plastics but I've logged a support ticket with them and we'll see what happens. Site indicates that they'll warranty broken plastics if you let them know within 24 hours of delivery.

i got a whole new fairing and seat. New rear tire assembly. New Charger,
and new controller. All I said I needed was a new controller and happened to mention that the seat fairing was cracked in one place. The rest of it was for the inconvenence. lol Worked for me.

Re: Keep all your questions about the XP700 here.

I just bought my XP700 on Monday. It's set to arrive at my front door tomorrow. I can't wait to get it charged up and take off. I weight about 185 do you think I might be able to top out at 20 mph? Also, how long should i leave it on the charger for the first charge?

overnight charge... but the chargers that these bikes come with now a days are smart chargers so you can't over charge them....

Re: Keep all your questions about the XP700 here.

yeah it will let you know when it's charged. My first charge was like 8 hours or something like that. When both lights are green your done. lol No you won't max out at 20mph you'll get around 18mph like me more then likely. You'll be disappointed with it's power off the line at 185lbs lol but we can help you fix that. ;-)

Re: Keep all your questions about the XP700 here.

I'm thinking of getting an xp-700 because it seems like the best electric pocketbike. How long can you drive it continuously for is my question. I weigh about 140 lbs. how fast could it go for me?

Re: Keep all your questions about the XP700 here.

stock with you on the bike. One full charge. 45 minutes to an hour if your crusing. If your full throttle the entire time. 20-40 minutes probably. You'll have a nice low end powerband. Nothing impressive, but most of us are closer to the 180-200lb range. lol. You'll see somewhere between 18-20 mph.

Re: Keep all your questions about the XP700 here.

Well I got my xp700 last Thursday and I’ve been riding it none stop sense. I did have some cracks in the body when I got it but I opened a ticket and within 24 hours they said they would send me new parts and they should arrive within 10-14 days. The bike itself though runs great. I get about 45 minutes of drive time and I get speeds around 15 mph.

3 things I did notice that I like about the XP700 over the PB200 are...

1. Better acceleration. I noticed on the PB200 I always had to kick my feet to get going because the take off was so slow but that’s not the case at all with the XP700. It picks up speed 10 times faster. (Top speed is about the same though)

2. Better at climbing hills. I noticed when I had the PB200 I could never get up any hill at all. I would have to get off the bike and walk it up. The XP700 will go up some pretty steep hills no problem. (And I’m 190 lbs)

3. The body is bigger. The whole bike is bigger in size compared to the PB200 which is something I like a lot seeing as how I’m 6 foot 3.

3 things I didn't like about the XP700 compared to the PB200 was...

1. The weight of the XP700 is much more. I think the XP700 weighs about 50 lbs compared to the PB200 which is about 30 lbs. This is something I noticed sticks when you’re trying to put it in the back of your truck to transport to a friends.

2. The top speed is about the same as the PB200. I don’t know why this is either. The PB200 has a 200 watt motor and the Xp700 has a 700 watt motor? Makes no sense to me why they are about the same in top speed.

3. The red/blue plastic on the XP700 is very I mean very cheap. It cracks easily and it's not near as strong as the plastic on the PB200. I can see this being a problem 2 or 3 months later down the road after a wreck or two.

That’s about it for now. I'm sure I’ll come up with more the more I get to drive it.

Re: Keep all your questions about the XP700 here.

Here is the thing with motors. If the motor is bigger it doesn't mean that the bike will go faster. Most of these motors only spin up too around 2600-2800rpms. The bigger the motor the more power it has. 750watt motor equals 1hp. So the more watts the motor has the more power it has. Thus meaning the more strain you can put on the motor. Since you can put more strain on the motor the bike can rev higher meaning it has more power to spin it up to its maximum speed. The motors maximum speed might be 2800rpm, but that is no load rating. The xp700 is geared to do 20mph, The motor just may or may not be able to rev up that high depending on rider weight. a 100lb kid would reach higher top speeds then us 180 plus guys. The acceleration difference in the xp700 and the razor is directly related to motor size. The 700watt motor is a beast compared to that 200watt. The Controllers produce the same amount of peak amps. The best way to make electric vehicles fast and efficient is to make more power. Some people like cheap quick power and they add batteries. This does nothing but ruin electronics. If you want speed you gotta make power. Thus meaning bigger motor, better controller and bigger gearing. Its that simple. Excuse Aproldan and I if were slow to respond sometimes because with schmucky (exon) still creating fake names and looking for info to call his own, We never know if were helping someone or talking to a idiot that just doesn't get it in the first place. So anyway there you have it, Your formual for speed is make big power then gear accordingly.

unless they(company) change the gearing give your bike a month... keep riding it til it runs low each time and put on charge... the motor will break in(just like a gasser needs to break in) and you will start seeing higher speeds... brushes need to set in perfect and after about a dozen charges you battery goes thru a chemical chance which produces a little more power for you.... you'll hit closer to 20mph soon enough...

true, very true! I didn't have a speed on my bike until it had a good 40 miles on it. So i probably would have seen the same numbers.

Re: Keep all your questions about the XP700 here.

I have a new XP700 and am getting killed by a Mini Motto that is stocked. I have only had it 4 days and have read about the batteries and motor breaking in but want some torque/speed. Can someone tell me the best and easiest plug/play 100 amp controller to put in. This will be my first mod and then will move on to others....Thanks!

Re: Keep all your questions about the XP700 here.

well first off how much do you weigh and how much does the dude riding the mini motor weigh because the xp700 should have no problem taking the mini moto unless your heavy and the other rider is really light. But the best 100amp controller would be http://www.evparts.com/shopping/prod...roduct_id=4105
I personally don't have experience with it but it seems to be the best bang for the buck. The controller I used to use, the Navitas TSP100-36 is a great controller but I can't find it any cheaper then 150bucks now. You would have to search. I can't link it because it's not a advertiser on pbp.
