No, I recomended that you get a bigger sprocket for the wheel to slow it down some. If you are knowledged at electronics, you could put a resistor in parallel with the throttle in order to decrease the maximum resistance so the controller wouldn't give it as much power.

yea you could get a 65 tooth for the rear instead of the 55 stock

it will decrease top speed but then would increase accl wich might be scary for a little guy
