gearing problems

Has any1 had any problems with the gears on the new 4 strokes (weird scratching sounds)? how did you go around to fixing it?

Try dropping your engine oil and look to see if theres any metal bits in it.
When running in a new engine this should be done anyway and you will find a little metal (looks like grey sand) anything bigger and you might have a problem.

ok so i might as well drain it all out and have a look at the oil then because I might of put a little too much in the other day. If I open the gear box up should I drain the oil out first so I dont make a mess or dosent the oil enter the gear box? thanks for the help!
