Re: 4T Race Section

i was thinking, it would be cool to put a forum up for racing 4t midbikes. Not only where to race and such, but like riding tips, race setups, stuff like that...i noticed that there is a small amount of people that acctually race the midbikes...although i did find a few vids of some (kids im guessing) racing along side the pitbikes. i just think that the tech section of the midbike forum should be split. thhere are lots of people that are just having basic problems and then there are the select few that acctually race, whether it be at an acctual track or in large vacant parking lots (like my self). i have found many good riding tips from various sites that have really allowed me to get some great performance out of my bike. i would like to share that info with out people poping in saying.
"is this a good bike to buy?"
"hey, i cant get my bike to start"
"where should i go to get a good bike?"
i dunno just a suggestion..let me know what ya think..thanks

Re: 4T Race Section

I'm down. I've done plenty of racing, but I know there are techniques to race harder and faster. I for one would like to find out the tricks to speed. And who knows? These techniques may actually help some people ride safer, instead of trying something they saw on TV without actually knowing the trick to doing it.

Re: 4T Race Section

Theres not to much skill in going in a strait line you say.I would beg to differ. It takes skill to be the fasted down the track. Everything has to be in tuned together. Launching at just the right rpm, shifting and the perfect rpm. Not missing a gear and the tuning Shore you could take you pocket bike out there and run it. Shir it doesn't require allot of skill just to ride in a strait line, but thats not all a drag racer does. It takes skill and timing to become the best. Its just like when you ride around a track. It about timing to when you start to tarn and the line you hold throw the turn. that will get you out front or at the back of the pack.

Re: 4T Race Section

there is way more to circuit racing...and why does some one always have to get a little bent out of shape when a person exspresses thier opinion..no offense "drag racers", but running a straight line might require some skill...its not enough skill to impress me...if that irks some of you...tough titties..there is alot more invovled circuit racing than holding aline...its a constant balancing game, you have really nothing to plan out or problem solve with going in a straight line...esspecially for these bikes....anyways thanks for the input fellas

thats exactly the way i think to. theres so much to circuit racing its not even funny. the way i see it, professional drag racing is less of a drivers sport and more of a team/mechanic/most hp sport, sure reaction time is important and all, but driver skill/rider skill is far more important in circuit racing.

haha, tough titties...sorry lol

Re: 4T Race Section

amen.....a circuit racer is like a fighter pilot (in complete control one with the bike/plane)....where a drag racer is more like an astronought (sure he hits the button but, he's still just luggage)

Re: 4T Race Section

It's all good to have a section dedicated for this "but" it will not stop the "How come" posts because they will just use it when they don't get any responce in the other section. Still a good idea especially those young guns wanting to actually get tips/techniques from some OG's If something like this was around back when I was road racing the mids I think it would have kept them going alot longer then they did.
As for "Drag" racing yeah it takes skill to twist the gas when the little green light flash's but then your just on the bike for the ride like a passanger. Your not directing the bike the bike is directing the rider. Nothin against drag but road racing is a art form and requires alot of information to be processed in your brain in a very short amount of time (launch, corner entry, braking, corner speed, traction, throttle control, exit speed, which line to take, passing manuever...etc..etc..) list is endless even at the mid bike speed level if your in a group of riders that know what their doing.

Re: 4T Race Section

i agree with the drag racing as far as these bikes go but when you increase the power and size theres a bid diff but this is just my opinion no need to argue over something as small as this because no ones gonna change theres

opinions are like butts everyones got one and some stink

I see no arguing going on just simple chat or ideas with no bold statements
I used to drag imports 1/4 for fun so no stranger to it.
