70cc Bike. Worth it?

My friend would like to get into pocketbikes and is interested in a 70cc 4-stroke 4-speed bike. He wants to buy it off ebay. The seller told him 60mph, but i told him thats not always realistic. its $500 bucks after everything. Is it worth it?\

depends..... ask the seller if he has a circular tranny (where it goes 1-2-3-4-n-1-2-3-4-n etc) especially if u cant downshift because 4-n only is bad news lol

I've been looking at them as well... I'm personally a little sketch about the "chinese" version of a Honda motor. Anyways will probably end up buying one on a whim. Check it out http://cgi.*********/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

What do you recommend then? I like the idea of a transmission but I dont want to pay a fortune for one.

Ahh i didn't say not to buy it, i'd probably get it from anywhere other than ebay though. I think sonik sells them for $500 to your doorstep? and he's always around to make sure it's sorted, ebay guys porbably tell you to get Flucked as soon as you give em the cash, BAT call it an rx12, look at the bottom of the page:

http://www.badazztoyz.com/page2.html

click on the "here" button for info, not sure if its got a 0-4 or a 1 down 3 up shifter though? email him.

No way these bikes go 60mph. Think of it as a honda trail 70 engine but chinese made.A Trail 70 dosnt even go 55mph so You bo that seller is just HUFF.

he's probably quoting km/h, since these are chinese made bike...honda cub c70 don't even hit 60mph, maybe 60-70 km/h...probably goes around 45mph...i'm also looking at the same bike...should be pretty phat to ride, option to shift gear and junk

Cool

I have the exact bike, form that same ebay seller, and it is a good bike. The seller (Jeff from Colorado) is a good guy. I would say that the Baddazz bike with the 110cc and better tranny is the way to go. I ended up putting in a 110cc on mine, and the speed and the tranny make it all worth while! I could have saved about $200 in the end, if I would have just gone with baddazz, but that's ok, now I have a nice 70cc motor for a project bike or gocart.

Check out Baddazz, I think they will be the best deal.

I live in their home state, but I am in no way affiliated with them. Although I still want to get out and race with them some day
