Any major differences between 06, 07 or 08 model x18's...?

Hey guys, i just recently purchased an x18 model pocketbike slightly used and i looked at the manufacturers stamp and it is a 2006 model bike. I've seen tons of ads on the 2007 and 2008 model x18 bikes and everything about them looks exactly like my 06 x18, my question is are there actually any differences in performance of the motor of the newer models? basically im wondering if the 07 and 08 models have a different 110cc motor then the one on my bike that would make it any faster? if anyone knows for sure i'd like to know, thanks

mark

I have two 07's and one of them has a loncin all up motor and the newest one I just got has a 1 down 3 up motor. Wierd huh? That's with only 3 months difference in production dates.

they use whatever they have at build time
the motors will perform similar, the front sprocket is the most common different thing and will make bikes appear to be faster than others
i prefer the 4 up/down to the 1d3u shifting
but then again, i dont want a 110 anyway

Thumbs up Re: Any major differences between 06, 07 or 08 model x18's...?

The all up loncin motor came with a 14 tooth front sprocket. The new (produced September 07) motor with 1 down 3 up came with a 17 tooth front. I too don't want the 110...So I never drove the bike with the 1 down 3 up motor. Its still new, never started. I yanked it out to put an ogm 140 in.

The motors perform about the same. If you are going to mod the 110 hopefully you got one with the all up shift pattern and the primary mounted clutch (instead of the much more common crank mounted) but most people just swap in a bigger motor nowadays and just mod that. Stock for stock you would not know a difference between all the different 110s out there.
