Question best gearing for top speed?

Ive looked all over this site for the info but just couldn't find it =/

so yea like the title says what would be the best gearing for achieving top speed (over 60 MPH)

Thanks!

I was thinking front 18/17 and back 33?

its an x-18 by the way

(p.s i really don't care about acceleration just top speed)

Re: best gearing for top speed?

17/28 is good for 92-97mph ... if you have the motor to pull it

Re: best gearing for top speed?

no, really. what would that gearing do would that give it crazy *** top end?? it sucks that you really cant transfer the front towards back because 1 the motor doesnt have space and 2 the sproket isnt set up that way but that would be crazy lol, so front gives you accel and back gives you top end?

Re: best gearing for top speed?

better.. then pretty well he said it all the 110 motor simply has no power to pull that gearing
it cant even pull the gearing for a 17 front 32

both gears effect acceleration and top end. the ratio of teeth on each sprocket determines this. (check the graph earlier posted)

oh, when he says the motor would fall on its face, he means it wouldnt pull through all the gears. i think you have the idea that a bike can pull through whatever gearing you throw at it, which isnt true at all.
