Hey.... after asking about then adjusting the valve on my x 15 i decided to post a thread on how to do this. Alright now down to business. First your gonna need a blade type feeler gauge that measures .002 inches or .05, .051mm. I would suggest a set with one slightly larger for better measurement. you can optionally get some threadlocker. take off the Valve caps on the top and bttom of the piston head. on the left side of the trans(if your sittin on the bike) there are 2 flat head looking plug things. the bigger one shows you the nut to the flywheel the smaller one is an access to look at the top of the flywheel where there should be markings. you have to get the piston to top dead center, or the top of the compression stroke. the easiest way i found to do this was remove the spark plug, put your finger over the hole, and slowely turn the kick starter until you feel some pressure. now when you know you are on the compression stroke you can use the nut acces son the fly wheel to SLOWELY turn the engine the same direction the kick starter did.WARNING do not JERK or move it fast, you DO NOT want to loosen the fly wheel it can mess up engin timimg and open a whole can of ****y problems. through the access on top you will see some marking my bike happened to hit tdc in when the 3rd line ball thing was viewable. it may be the same for others, i'm not sure though. When ya get it to tdc both valves should be closed. take the .05 feeler gauge and try and slip it between the rocker arm and tip of the valve if it goes in use the larger feeler gauge. if that fits you neede to tighten the valves. so if the .05mm gauge doesnt fit the valve needes to be loosed, obviously. On most of these bike the valves come with almost zero clearence. the lock nut like in the pics need to be loosened. then threaded part needes to be either tightened or loosened. your gonna want the bigger feeler guage not to fit and the .05mm one to go in relatively easy and it to move back in forth with litt;e drag after tit's tight. apply some loctite if ou have it. keep the gsuge in when you retighten it. when the nut is tightened it is probably going to do the same to the threaded stud. so play with it until it's gauged. if ya un a nice clean dry spacethen leave the valve caps of for 15 mins the loctite to dry some( a whole 24hrs 4 it to completely). then replace everything an you should see easier starting, better accel, and less to no backfire on deccel. he carb may need some retuning after this, so best of luck. and i remember some guy saying it would take five min to do this.....no. t do it right it shouldnt take too long but it;s wort it. out...........
Definitely a sticky, I explained it a million times and maybe the last time was when I explained it to him as he actually put it into pictures which are worth a 1000 words. It is the simplest way to gain performance from these bikes and should be at the top of the set up list before even starting the bike for the first time.
Okey i have a problem my x 15 pocket bike i love it
Just one problem i weight 129 and i dont think this is right but when i go at like 6mph at first shift then i go to 2 shift and reach 12mph i change shift cause motor make lot noise sound then i chage to 3 shift at 23mhp and then i chage to shift 4 and go at run 32 but wont go more so something not working i know for shure what you think need fixxing plz help
