Have a question for x6 owners

Hey i got another x6 4 stroke 110cc auto for $125...the bike ran great yesterday and ive ridden the bike a few times before and it ran great..after riding the bike yesterday i was getting a little hessitation...so i bought the bike in, cleaned out the carb, put in a new spark plug, and removed the gauges (the speedometer was broken and the turn signals arent on the bike anyway)..then i took the bike outside and tried to start it..nothing...it just cranked and cranked....checked the sparkplug it smelled like gas and was slightly wet...I am getting spark but doesnt seem too big..I have 2 questions:1. is there some weird reason y this bike wont run without its guages attached because the turn signals dont work either without it. and 2. is there a way to test that the coil isnt going because im getting spark but it may not be good enough

It may be a possibility the bike is flooding out especially if the plug is wet from fuel?? I have removed all the guages as well as lights so that should not
be the issue. Are you using the choke on initial start up?

Dude how did you get to warning level 8??? How high does it go before it flipps back to 0??? The gauges have nothing to do with the spark control. Make sure the cam is spinning around, maybe you hurt it.

if all else fails I usually resort to starting fluid when I rode the 2 smokers but not sure if it will have the same effect on the 4 stroke.

alright ive decided it has to be the coil...or im hoping its the coil...I grounded the green wire off the coil and ran the black/yellow directly to the cdi and still got the same weak spark....so im going to buy a new coil and spark plug today and try again...any other ideas are welcome...this is a first for me

Hey man, try another plug before get too far, a cracked plug can case grief. Your getting fuel and air, have good compression and the cam didn't jump so you are getting close. It should be in the coil, CDI or pickup. Another thing I found good was cutting every connector plug in the wiring system off and soldering all connections. Those plugs come loose to easily especially the plug with the wires coming out of the pickup and to the CDI. The starting fluid idea is great, it will ignite even with a weak spark. Good luck, electrical gremlins can be a pain in the backside. PM me if you need a stock coil or CDI.

REMEMBER GUYS AND GIRLS, NOT GUILTY DOES NOT MEAN INNOCENT (MJ)!!! That will probably cost me 1 of my 10 warnings??? That freak of nature is guilty and today I lost all faith in our judicial system!!!

I want to know how you bought a complete 110cc bike for a bill and a quarter?
You have several bikes fourstrokes already correct?....why not just swap out the cdi on one of them to test it?...have you checked the pickup for proper clearence?

heades up!
Make sure you change the fuel line and put a inline filter as well.
This is a big problem on the x6 when the hose get soft after the motor heats up then the line pinches.. its just a matter of time!
good luck.
