All bone stock 110cc mids are pushing about 5.75-6hp and dont become 7hp or higher until modded...........I forget how much horses exactly my 18 engine is pushing but I know its more than 8hp with all its mods and theres alot of them.....The only difference between the mids are the weights and the type of drives it has whether its full auto, semi auto 4 speed or 4 speed manual...There are two X-18's though..theres one with the 14/38 gearing and comes with a real genuine honda camshaft and the other comes 17/38 and comes with a crappy china cam..If you tried to run the 17/38 on the engine with the Honda cam the engine would lag real badly;-something like adding a 22 tooth rear sprocket with 17 front on a mildly modded mid that came 17/38.The 18 with 14/38 gearing and honda camshaft came out in 05/06 never in 07/08 or 09......Peace

Re: Help Me With My X-22 Please!!!!

Cam2,
Thanks for that info., I have an X18, 17/38 gears, so I guess I have the crappy cam. I am going to try 16/28 gears, and I have a 15 too! You gave me the carb. mods. for the stock 19mm. I got the swivel manf. adaptor, but I have not taken it apart again. I believe it is sucking air at the head.
I never touched the carb slide or needle, so I will look at that too!! I put a .79 jet from .83, and it still will not Idle and it runs good with the choke on, but wide open it Screams!! It has been raining most of 2 weeks, next week is clear, so back to work! Plus I have been working on the new C1.

Re: Help Me With My X-22 Please!!!!

If you have the swivel adapter then youre most likely sucking air....4 out of 5 adapters I purchased had to have the mounting screw holes countersunk 1/8" deeper to seal the intake tightly..Have you ported your stock carb and intake or just modded the carb internals?

Re: Help Me With My X-22 Please!!!!

Cam2,
Haven't put the swivel adj. on yet. I was going to put a head breather tube, and the carb. bottom was in the way. I modded the carb. the little tube holes that I enlarged by tapering the holes may be too big, but I don't think that is the problem! I have a 24mm intake but it is to short, and it would be to big for the head port, so I used the stock one and split the gasket at the head, put some RTV on it, might be leaking there. I am taking it all off, taking it all apart, putting the swivel on & turn the carb away from the frame, so I can put on this PBU foam filter! Also, making a
V-stack from PVC fittings, similar to yours but different, going to make one for the 50cc C1, air ram, from big to 14mm at the carb.
I saw that info, about the swivel adpaptor screws being to high & I wrote that down!! I am pretty careful with my work, but sometimes I get in a hurry!
Have a cheap oil cooler, for the X18, going to try it out too, and I also
want to make some radiator braces out of alum. for the C1. EPR!
