Exclamation This is an important question I need answered!!

I just got a X-18 midbike, and on the small screen where it tells you the gear you are in there are strange letters and numbers showing instead of just the gear you are in. Please help me!! What do I do?

If the bike is brand new and still under warranty...........contact the place where you purchased it from and put in a claim............youll get another gauge cluster for free. Also tell them the shifter broke so you have a spare...................................Peace

Re: This is an important question I need answered!!

I bought the optional motorcycle dashboard................

Then I took apart the stock gauge cluster and took a dremel with a circular saw style cutting blade wheel and cut out the digital gear read out leaving enough clear acrylic plastic to encase the digital face in on all sides. It has its own wire harness plug..................Be careful of the way you handle it too because I had to resolder a few diode connections from overhandling in the area of all the little diodes connected to the wires that make the number shapes..........

Then I took a dremel and dremeled the lower left hole open larger..................After that I took a heat gun and softened up the dash case and stretched the lower part of the case with my finger to reshape it so the digital readout fit between the vapor computer and the outer dash skin and then I clear Rtv'd it in place.I also waterproofed the little diodes with clear rtv..............Peace

Re: This is an important question I need answered!!

Yeah that shouldnt be a problem....................

I have another Vapor setup already and it can be made with the digital readout done up.I was gonna put it on the X-18 before I decided to make it a stuntbike and it was already here.Im thinking about putting it on my 02 Banshee I just got today but I also have the Vapor from my dragbike with a complete wiring harness made up with blinkers and running lights on a seperate circuit also so if you didnt already buy a Vapor I could hook you up with a ready to drop in and easy to wire up and install unit.

I was in the middle of opening a repair shop for chinese made bikes but apparently the state and town has a problem with it so now I have to try and find another way to make it happen or just scrap the idea.................
