need a little adive on rewiring my electrical harness

hi im trying to rewire my harness since im off from school for the next 2 weeks so i have this diagram from somebody(i think its from this site) , my problem is which part of this diagram does the stator fits in? or if this diagram does not include the stator can anyone tell me how to connect the stator? also is a 10 gauge wire enough? thanx here is the link and kudos to the person who did this ,its very neat...
(its an x-18 superbike)

also a question on an x1 electric problem.. can anybody tell me whats an electric lock? also what is a monostat?

Re: need a little adive on rewiring my electrical harness

I totally rewired my X-15 cruiser and my whole X-15 dragbike also....and added mega goodies to them too.......

An electric lock is a neutral safety switch...............and a monostat is a single wire alternator/stator

Rewiring the harness requires 14-16 gauge wiring but you can use 12 also.....

10 gauge should be used for the battery power connects and solder every connection.......it makes it easier to add anything if you forget..;-solder every crimp-on bullet connectors and spade terminals also..........dont butt connector everything.......plus;-youll get problems that will take forever to trace back unless you buzz every connect with a continuity tester to check it after every crimp.............

The diagram doesnt include the stator or the voltage regulator........Thats part of the charging system schematic...............

Its not a 100% exact harness to the X-18 but the connects are there and labeled to get the idea................Peace

Re: need a little adive on rewiring my electrical harness

cam, may i know what are the colors?for the wires? and how many colors?

when you say the green is for ground and you have a bullet plug on it then where did you plug it?..

also you have 6 wires coming from the stator, 3 of those are for (neutral switch, ac for battery, ac from stator) so where is the other 3 wire goes?

also whats " hot" means. sori for the many questions.. i will start my wiring project tom.. and will update on the stuff.

Re: need a little adive on rewiring my electrical harness

I was looking over that wiring schematic you have and it looks like one from my X-1 pocketbike or a cateye..........Thats not a 4 stroke schematic.....thats why it doesnt show a stator.....

Hot means: unswitched/unfused/no circuitbreaker/hooked direct

Stator 4 wires connector tab up......

upper left - white ;-goes to Lower Left of rectifier
upper right - yellow to upper right of rectifier
lower left Blue/white;-to upper left of cdi connector
lower right - black/red ;-to cdi box connector lower right

CDI BOX 6 wires connector tab up

upper left -blue/white ;-comes from lower left of stator plug
upper center -nothing
upper right - black/yellow;-to coil positive
lower left - Green from rectifier and ground.
lower center - black/white;-killswitch wire
lower right - black/red;-comes from lower right of stator plug

RECTIFIER 4 wires connector tab up

upper left black - 12v sense wire
upper right yellow - from statorupper right
lower left white - from stator Upper left
lower right green[ground]

Re: need a little adive on rewiring my electrical harness

alright i just got this x1 pocket bike and the gosh darn thing has an electric start and a pull start. well the kid said it needed a battery cuz it was dead plus no charger. so i was like ok i still got the pull start. wrong it broke on the inside but any ways i have one but really havent rode it much. so i take it apart and all the wires are spliced together with electric tape. i got a new battery and now the electric start still dont work. alls i get out of is as a buzzing noise comin out of the coil if im lucky since i took the cover of the pull start to see if it turned the motor at all and it is just barely turnin the motor enough to turn it over. soo im back at square one withe the electric start. now what i need to know is if u have a labeled colored coded wires soo i can rewire this thing the right way.

Re: need a little advice on rewiring my electrical harness

Hello, I wanted to know if you can e-mail me or post the wire or wiring schematic for the x15 pocket bike. I had one sent to me when i bought my bike but i lost it. I'm having my bike fixed by a mechanic that services in pocket bikes and he needs one to see all the wiring and where it leads to. I would really appreciate it. My email is Atownsfinest610@hotmail.com
