So I figured I'd do up a GP style bike for next season, you know full plastics and all....
It's gonna be sporting a 125cc 4t and big brakes... I like big brakes.... also reworked the stock under-tail can to work with the bigger motor.
It's still in a prehistoric state, just started on it two days ago...
peruse and enjoy.
What the hell Kuroi?? you JUST finished your x12/cateye project and before you can have it for a month, your making a new project, wow! if you have money to throw away like that, my paypal account is johnmarcu....lol but seriously, I think all the money your pouring in, you can get a real nice bike like a derbi or something, and it will be faster, lighter, and better qaulity for 2K or 3K...Good Luck though...
John
Yea I could, but I like the smaller bikes, mids, apes....
and I do these on the cheap, hookups and bargins,
I got this X12 for 100bux minus a front wheel, carb, and starter.
And they might be faster but mine is lighter
So here is the shell waiting for motor and other odds'n'ends. It looks kinda funny, like a fat guppy cause both tires are flat and the ride hights aren't set yet but... enjoy.
from the first pic it looks a bit like a Y2K....just toss a jet engine in there  now looking at it i wish i had used an x12 rear fairing for my bike....little more resemblant to a gixxer.....everything looks good though and those are some gnarly front brakes....id like to see the full potential of those babies (without skidding of course).....i know mine are **** strong but double that! id be in the hospital every week just cuz my brain would slam into my skull so fast (also known as a concussion) when im stoppin.....now thats an idea....kuroi why dont you see if you can givce yourself a concussion from braking lol sweet job...you should be the next jessie james of pocketbikes
Soooo I've secured the 125cc beast in the frame, and shortend said frame two inches in the rear. So the mounting points for everything remain the same, seat, fairings, ect. The only difference is the swingarm is now two inches closer to the front of the bike
WHY?!!? you may ask....
It puts the bike into the correct scale, the X12's swingarm exteneds too far rearward in stock form and looks all wrong, so I moved it accordingly.
just because I wanted to
