Pocket Bike weird problem, Need advice

I have 110cc Automatic 4stroke Mini bike issue. Completely Stock. Was Driving fine the other day, soon as i drive it today it started backfiring alot higher and sounding differant. Running 91 Octane fuel. When i drive it it only goes 5-10mph, wants to pick up and go but boggs down. When i took the fuel line off it sounded better and drove it without it drove like it was the other day. Fast 50Mph. When i put it back it on it bogs down and gets harder to start also. Runs Perfect when theres no fuel going to the motor till it runs out.

Any Ideas on what i can check it make it run good again? It's brand new, just did my first oil change. We're completely stumped on the situation.

that makes no sense, maybe your fuel filter is really restricting or your gas tank cap isnt breathing. how big is the fuel line, also get some pictures up if you can, of around the carb and fuel line and such, its just helps.

Re: Pocket Bike weird problem, Need advice

I don't have a 4-stroke bike so I'm not sure you will have one, But on all the little 2-stroke bikes this problem is caused by a clogged vent in the gas cap, It needs to let air in to the tank as it lets fuel out otherwise it creates a vacuum that overpowers the sucking power of the carb.

Might be worth checking, Hopefully Cam2 will see this, He can answer any 4-stroke question you could ever have.

I'm going to move this thread to the 4-stroke mid-bike section, so you'll get more responses.

Nick.

It sounds like you have a stuck carb float or one thats out of calibration and its dumping too much fuel into the engine. The rubber tip on the float needle could also be broken off too..Try tapping the floatbowl with a heavy weighted screwdriver to see if it helps if not youre gonna have to remove the carb and reset the float or replace the float needle......Pull the sparkplug and post what color it is.....

I second the stuck float theory, you are flooding out.
