RX-12, X6, or Immortal?

Hey I think all the above bikes can come with the 110cc. Which is the best buy taking in to account reliability, drivability, performance, asthetics, and cost? I would love your objective opinions because my taxes are coming back and easy come easy go. Or feel free to mention some other good midbike I should purchase.

I just got myself a RX12... I ordered it two days ago and it should be here sometime next week. The reason I chose RX12 is b/c Immortal is very scarce making it very expansive over RX12 which can later be a biatch for getting parts. As far as performance I believe american Immortal only comes in 70cc but I have seen variants that come in 110 and 125 which was like 100 buckaroo more than RX12 including shipping.

X6 was one of the bike that I was considering but yet it does not have gear selector or kick starter. That was a turn off for me. Yet this is the cheapest way to go of all three options you have.

As far as the look goes, you gotta decide.

I chose performance with reliability(serviceability).

Arrow decisions, decisions....

i don't have any midi bikes as of right now. also i have not ridden or seen any of these bikes i speak of [would love to though]. however from what i've been watching the rx12 looks like a great bike in my opnion. the kick/elec start, auto gears, straight gas, and last but not least 4-stroke.

as for the x6. i lke the design of it but, i want one with gears that i can controll. also don't want to pay 500-600 for bike then another 500-600 for an engine that will swap out at 110cc with shift.[i haven't really combed through the mod options for this bike/so engine swap or clucth mod could be cheaper]

as for x7. they look good, but from what i see the pegs are a little to close to the ground. being that all i have is pictures to judge bikes by and to help draw my conclusion, thats what i see.

i am hesitant to jump on a deal myslef, for the fact i want to see whats going to come out for the bikes parts/upgrades. or even new bikes as well as revised ones.

well, my opinion is: what do you want to do?

If you just want a cruisin' bike, or don't like shifting, or want to race other single speed/no gear 4 stroke "x bikes", the x6 is for you.

If you want to eat x6s, 50s, and everything in between, you want an rx 12 or an immortal.

personally, i have an immortal. It sits lower than the rx 12 and has a slightly longer wheelbase (i believe).

but i goes back to what you want to do. If you just want to screw around and stunt and also have the fastest bike on the block , you probably want an rx 12. they sit higher than the immortals and wheelbase is shorter, but have the same motor. frame is the only difference.

The immortal's shifter is simply retarded ( look at people's pics who own one), while the rx 12's seems to be a very good one. However, the shifter looks to hang really low and i would worry about that dragging/grinding or bending as i can knee drag off my immortal and have no problems, however i had to have it extended.

The rx 12, having a shorter wheel base and sitting taller would be a lot easier to wheelie and stoppie. I can wheelie my immortal (and boy is it fun) but you have to pin it in first gear, then hold it in between first and second, then dump it. It will go straight to 12 o clock. sitting down. Stoppies are possible too, however take more effort. if you have the front hydraulic brake it is also very nice. Again, i stoppied my immortal and it broke the rear exhaust mount (something else to get welded).

the immortal, sitting lower helps when leaning off in the corners, and the longer wheelbase will help KEEP from wheelieing. I have literally ground a hole through my kneepads because i had my knee DOWN. (if you've never knee drug, do it. it's awesome). But i can eat 47cc cags and 50s on the immortal. Through the corner's it's awesome, just have to watch your shifting. It WILL throw you off if you rub it just the wrong way. But on the straights it shines. i have an aftermarket rev box (like BIG GUN EXHAUST i think) and it revs to the moon. It's fun to listen to the 2 stroke pocket bikes just screaming then just fly by. but it's the simple things (obviously).

Again... it just comes down to what you want to do. I have heard each of these are extremely fast (it's all the same motor except x6 has no gears)

another one to keep an eye out for is the x7 4 stroke but they're coming with the lights and turn signals etc etc, as well as kick start (hint: check ebay)

anyways... this is my opinion. the immortal can have ALL plastic removed in under 5 minutes, while the x6 is a real pain in the @$$ to get all the plastics off. rx 12 seems to be average.

X6 seems to be the cheapest in the bunch, but lack of gears:
Pros: fast! 4 stroke!
Cons: lower cost, no gears
bottom line: good for a racer or hobbyist on a budget

Rx-12:
Pros: Gears, fast, wheelie machine, lots around (easy parts, competition for cost)!
cons: sits high, shifter hangs low
bottom line: excellent bike for stunting or just pleasure riding

Immortal:
Pros: gears, fast, sits low, comfortable, hard to find (you'll be the only one with one)
Cons: hard to find parts/plastics for (however engine is the xr50 replica, so honda dealerships are all over the place), fork seals problem (currently)
bottom line: excellent bike for a racer or hobbyist.

but, once again... what do you want to do?

Where did you get the parts for your mod?

As far as 4 stroke X7... I wouldn't go that route unless you like it being small. I thought the pocketbike was enough for me but man, I quickly grew out of that X7 after like 2 hours of total riding. The 2 stroke version bottom end just sucked so much and the bike is small for mid bike. Check out the picture of my bike in the gallery.

i've ridden the x7 4 stroke, they're fast, but i disagree.

they're comfortable. i'm 5'11" and 145 lbs and i was confortable on it.

however, yes, 2 stroke is on the way out. and not in the direction of the racetrack.

Thanks for your opinions, I will take them all into account. As for the x6, I noticed a new model on ebay recently and it was a 4 speed. I am only interested in the bikes with gears. I also heard from badazztoyz that the rx-12's price will drop this spring. Anyone heard anything?

I don't think the price is dropping. It is more like leveling out because there are so many people are selling these that they are forced to reduce their price to match the others. I have seen RX12 go for 695 shipped on ebay.

I don't know how much those retailers are buying these for. But I bought my X7 for just under 300 shipped and I am pretty sure he didn't lose a penny over it b/c he has been selling the bike like that for a few months.

From what I have been observing, most internet retailers jack up their prices around $100 over ebay prices. Ebay sellers are not losing money otherwise they won't sell them at such a low price compared to online stores.

For RX-12, there are a few offline places that will sell it to you over the phone for the price that most online retailers are asking for the bike alone without shipping included. For instance, my RX12 was 700 shipped which comes with 30 day warranty. Once again, I am sure he is not losing a penny over it.

If I am wrong, please enlighten me with correct information.

Thanks,

Michael K.
