Well I guess Ill just wait and see.I still wanna know about it . I just bought my 4 stroke 2 weeks ago and It seems to be a nice bike but it says 49cc(4stroke) so I guess it is although the dealler swears he was selling me 70cc. Does any body know this is bike is called ? I cracked wheel today at the track and need to order one.Its bigger than most minis(just barely) so i assume its a super bike.It has hyd discs.Hyd forks.10 inch 10 spoke wheels. It also comes in a 2 stroke cvt version.I dont know where to get a wheel or what the bike called. Thanks

I'm not sure where you got your info, but 110cc's is NOT considered a moped in NC. Check it again.

This is straight from NCDOT.

"North Carolina law defines a moped as a vehicle with two or three wheels with a motor of no more than 50 cubic centimeters of piston displacement and no external shifting device. Legally, a moped's top speed cannot exceed 30 mph. Although some mopeds on the market have top speeds higher than the 30 mph limit, they are illegal for use in North Carolina".

of course its not a moped lol and also does ne1 know if it can downshift..... i hate bikes that cant downhsift because it isnt too bad that it can go bac to first but if u cant downshift i dont think its worth buying to do a motorswap cuz all the engine mounting and all that junk....... just wondering

That is exactly why they are marked 49cc. Sure 110cc is illegal if not registerd, but since it is marked 49cc it is legal. And as for the external shifter, not one of the 100 police i have spoken to have even noticed it.
Yea, of course its not a moped, but NC laws considers it to be a moped thus making it legal all because of that 49cc stamp.

And yes, you can downshift the 110

No, NC does not consider it a moped. YOU consider it a moped.
Just because "100 policeman" in your area aren't bothered by it, does NOT make it legal. It just makes you fortunate is all.

You read it yourself right?

-You've got an external shifting device...Strike one.

-It's faster than 30 mph......Strike two.
And when they clock you doing more than 30, there won't be anything you can really say to justify that.

-It's more than 50ccs. They probably wouldn't go as far as to verify the cc's since it's stamped 49, but it's possible if they decide to be really anal and impound it. Besides, you know it's more than 50cc's .....Strike three.

It's great they don't bother you where you live, but just be aware that NC police officers "legally" can rip you a new one if they wanted to. Hopefully you won't encounter the anal ones, but just be aware that they can. And please, try not to mis-inform others.

In NC you have to be 16 and wear a helmet to ride a moped. (see qoute below, straight from NCDOT).

"In North Carolina you must be at least 16 years old and wear a helmet to operate a moped on a public roadway or public vehicular area. The same DWI laws that apply to the drivers of other motor vehicles also apply to moped operators. When riding a moped on a public roadway you must follow all the rules of the road."

The bike in question is not a moped, so this is moot anyway. Although it would be smart to wear a helmet regardless. One less ticket he/she would write you up for.

Anyway, I got the info straight from NCDOT website. http://www.ncdot.org/dmv/

Thanks it must be an x6 if thats what you got in the picture. Same thing. Cool all I need to know is where to get a new rear wheel. But more importantly I wanna know about this rx12 110cc.Since I got one on the way. I could care less about it being street legal plus ther is no way it belongs in traffic . I just dont see it being legal they look like toys basically. But I must say after riding my x6 this weekend at the closed down go cart track they arnt toys. My buddies 49cc bikes that are different just didnt seem as quality or as safe. They felt like toys. I wore a third off of my pegs in one riding.Awesome. I had no idea they could be that intense.Course racing on a full on track with under/over passes with several turns makes those bikes seem fast and dangerous. So this 110 rx12 is going to down shift? Sure hope so. If not Ill have change that with whatever it takes. I still cant believe Im being told this thing is going to 49cc on the cylinder.

Type in Lifan on ebay and look at the pics of a 50cc ,a 110cc, a 70cc, a 100cc and a 90cc motor . That way you could compare the motors.

Hey BADAZZ...have you had any trouble with customs clearance or know anyone who has? I have 3 containers seized and being held because they are saying that my pocket bikes and choppers have "On road features" ... Like head lights, turn signals, hord, etc. I have fought them for almost 2 months now and still no luck...Thay say I can only export them now . NOT IMPORT. Any ideas?? This is a crock.....its the same bikes everone else is importing. I think they just have selective enforcement.
