I think that has been answered, but since you actually tried to find the answer and didn't act dumb, I'll also try to answer. I think they bought the turbo on eBay, but whatever it was, it was designed for larger engines than what you'd find in a mid-bike of any type, so it's basically one of the smallest you can get. But I doubt you want to lay down $800 (what they paid for it) on the turbo alone, which is probably more than you spent on your pocket bike and a lot more expensive than your pocket bike is even worth now.

I could see it easily costing $1500 and up for everything.
i hope this answers your question.^^^^^

Re: Turbo Pocketbike

btw i did the research and the turbo that is used is the mitsubitshi td02 turbo(smallest turbo around aparently), btw there isnt a problem if different people ask over and over again.

Re: Turbo Pocketbike

if u want a turbo, get a smog pump off an older truck. itll push as much or more boost as an expensive turbo will do bcuz the turbo requires a certain amount of horse power to blow enough exhaust gas out to be able turn the turbo over so it can work

Re: Turbo Pocketbike

no its cause a smog is pully driven, like a super, not exhaust driven like a turbo
the smog is very efficent too, barley any lag on the motor

this may or may not have been asked on a previous page....i really dont know, because i didnt read ALL 11 pages, but....

have you thought about porting the exhaust so it'll flow better and possibly give you some more psi? or did you already swap the engine out?
or was it already ported, and the result AFTER porting it was 3 - 4psi?

Re: Turbo Pocketbike

porting the exhaust would make it disperse the gas' more which would lose pressure. The problem is that they were trying to use a 20 hp turbo and they should have done it right and made 1 for an 8 hp and then we coulda seen sumthin that would actually do sumthin.

yall said yall work at whatever the place is so make 1 that wil work, yall got parts so do it, obviously yall dont own the company but u can still show the owner that there is alot of peeps on here who would buy 1 and if yall dont try sellin it at an outragous price then peeps would buy em

Re: Turbo Pocketbike

Well first off on this turbo setup. The carb is like a foot away from the carb, so the Air/fuel mixture has to travel around that nice bend in the pipe. I think it can be done better. It looks to me as this was just thrown together by a bunch of drunken farmers
