X18 Cheap Seat. Any ideas?

It seems the X18 seat is a really bad design. Any ideas of how to make it better?

Open your seat pad from the side, take out the cushion, replace it with a soft cushion, and close it back up.

get custom with it, use the old one for a template, cut a piece of MDP, get some padding, and wrap your choice of material, i am using a suede looking material for my x18, go to Michaels or Jo-Anns, or Hobby Lobby

I Saw A Great Looking Seat On Photobucket. He Had A Carbon Fiber Look To It. Try To Look For That And That Would Be Perfect. I Tried Looking For It Ad That Is A Hard Fabric To Find. And I Have No Idea How To Make The Seat Stable And Stay Onto The Frame Without The Holes.

Take the seat off,,,,squirt some rtv into the screw holes to add a backer for the screws,tape over the holes with duct tape,,,take spray adheisive,,spray the seat top and wrap it with black marine carpet from HomeDepot and staple it onto the bottom..The marine carpet is made for outdoor useage,is comfortable and has great grip plus durability.It works great for the seat of my racing kart and the seat of my oldschool retro mini-minibike.......Peace
