I sent a PM to Robert, asking if it could be made a sticky. Maybe he will help us out.
If not, I guess I can submit it in the how-to section, however if it were at the top of the forum, it may help avoid some of the threads. Alot of members wont bother to search, and probably dont bother to view the how-to section. I hate to think I spent my time writing and typing all of this up to help the site, as well as pay to be a member, and no one cares.
my boss put a 3 valve on a x15 BAD IDEA it didnt even fit and tryed to tell him to just return cuase he'll loose money either than gain so he ended up paying 135 bucks for custom welding

your work is greatly appreciated. i personally check the how to's quite often and wished the threads had more info as this one does. im not writer but you put that together so it was very easy to read and also it confirmed alot of things, i personally, was trying to figure out..i.e. buying any mod before buying a big bore kit would be pretty pointless..thanx that saved me lots of money..so thank you for helping keep the forum going
im glad to help. i wasted some cash on my first 4 stroke before i found the real power. i spent 40 on a cdi, 60 on a super coil, 180 on a pbu pipe, and 20 on a filter within the first couple weeks of owning the bike. $300 and no real difference in performance, that sucks. if i had it to do over, i would spend the 140 on a 114 kit, 50 on a 25mm carb, 20 on a filter, and 25 on an oil pump. for $235 the bike would have actually been much faster. either that or $300ish on an ebay 120-125cc. either would have been so much better than the $300 for no real gain.
i wish there were more interested in the sport...i would like to get a bunch of x12,15,18,22s together drop 125 engines in to them, hc pistons, some big cams, bigger carbs, and new pipes..and start my own mini ama...that would be sweet...im still trying to get someone to come film me and my homeboy practicing. i would like to post it up on here and show how low you can really get in corners on these bikes..someday
try to get some vids of you racing it...i mean getting yer knee down and all that good stuff..i see lots of vids of kids getting knees down on pocketbikes but everyone seems to just wheelie or speed in a straight line on these bikes..i want to see that other people are really workin these bikes like ive been doing, that would be sweet..good luck with the 125cc make sure it has elec. start..my engine didnt have one so,we got rid of the battery and all the other electrical crap..just the necessities now
not sure if 125s have electric start??
but for cornering im gonna have to ask my father to record my vid and the vid that 90gtvert has in the section on my vid u wouldve seen me knee down but noone was home to angle it to me sorry.yea once my money adds up ill get it shipped to my house so i can get it dropped in.
i dont think the wieght has too much to do with these bikes being as small as they are...but i dont need all that other crap...my battery died months ago so its kinda pointless..well thats cool hope to see some vids, as well as i hope to make and ppost some aswell
even if the weight doesnt matter for the ride, it's nice to have a few pounds less when you lift it in and out of a truck all the time. i can tell you from experience, a bike with no fairings, no lights, no battery, no nothing it doesnt need, is much nicer when you load and unload it a few times a day.
if you run the bare essentials on the bike, it does make it easier to work on. wiring problems are easier to diagnose at least.
